NLU Delhi Admission 2024 (AILET) Admit Card has been Released on 24th November 2023. National Law University, Delhi conducts an entrance exam which is called ALL India Law Entrance Test (AILET 2024) is a national-level entrance exam.

Through this candidates can get into five years B.A. LL.B (Hons.), one-year LL.M, and Ph.D. programs. Admission will be based on the qualifying marks in the exam.

NLU Delhi Admission 2024 (AILET) Application Form has been Released on 7th August 2023. The application process is being conducted online. To submit an application for admission, the candidates must visit the NLU official website and sign up for AILET.

NLU Delhi 2024 Admission procedure

Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on a written test performed by the University and merit in the qualifying exam. Applicants with qualified UGC Net/JRF/SLET and M.Phil. are exempted from being displayed for a written test. All qualified candidates will be required to submit a research proposal and the selected design will be necessary to give a presentation on the subject before the Doctoral Committee.

National Law University is extending its courses to PG Diploma courses in various disciplines of Law. Candidates possessing any graduation degree are eligible for the courses.

For LL.M

• Candidates with having results highly anticipated too can apply for a course on the condition of which produce the proof of passing the exam at the time of admission.
• Foreign nationals need not be displayed in the entrance exam.
• OCI/PIO candidates can apply either below the FN category or under the category of Indian Students. In case, the candidates file an application under the category of Indian Nationals, they must appear for AILET.

For LL.M (Professional)

• Candidates will be chosen on the basis of the percentage secured in their graduation. The merit cut-off list will accordingly be drawn up.

The current selection of the candidate will be based on merit obtained in the AILET entrance exam. 

• Candidates will be required to score a minimum of 40% marks (30% marks for SC/ST candidates) in the AILET entrance exam being eligible for admission.
• The entrance examination fee is INR. 3000/- for general category, INR. 1000/- in order to SC/ST and the person with disabilities.
• There is no charge for SC/ST below the poverty line candidates.
• If there are two or more candidates secure equal marks, the merit will be prepared considering their 10+2 marks as well.
• Foreign national applicants are excluded from appearing in AILET.
• The admission fees for the candidates from SAARC countries will have to be 5,000 US dollars even though it’s 10,000 US dollars for the candidates from other countries.
• Selected candidates will be intimated by the college authority through the official website or email, SMS, etc. and stipulated time will be made available to them for admission.
• Candidates who aspire to take admission within B.A. LL.B. must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with not less than 50% marks.
• The admission criteria for foreigners is securing at least 65% marks in the 10+2 examination of the system or equivalent.
• Applicants to the LL.M course have to score a certain minimum of 55% marks (50% marks by SC/ST/Persons with disability) in the LL.B. exam or equivalent degree.
• Foreign nationals must score at a minimum of 55% marks in LL.B. degree recognized by the Association of India Universities.
• The assessment of the communication skills of foreign nationals would be based on the written and spoken English performance at the interview in terms of aptitude and capacity.
• The admission to LL.B and LL.M will be based upon the AILET entrance followed by an interview.
• Admission to the Ph.D. program is to be based on merit in the written test conducted by the University and qualifying exam.
• Candidates who have qualifying UGC Net/JRF/SLET and M.Phil. are exempted from sitting in the written test.
