PESSAT 2020 Application Form 

Application form filling instructions indicate the step by step process to apply for PESSAT

  • PESSAT 2020 Registration has been started on 3rd October 2019.
  • The candidates who wish to apply for PESSAT 2020 Application Form can proceed with it through online mode only.
  • The aspirants can apply for an examination within the time limit prescribed in the notification. After the time duration, the link will not be appearing on the website.
  • They will need to log on to the website to get the home page of the application.
  • The aspirant must refer to the detailed instructions which are available on the website for filling up the online application.
  • A wrong entry of verification code will generate an error. After successful registration, a pop up shall appear with a message that the user id and password sent to the email id
  • Submit button after entering all the details
  • Before filling the Application Form, aspirants must scan and store the following documents as separate files.
  • Students paying the application fee through offline mode have to send DD with the Application Form to the below-given address:

Application Fee:

  • Applicants paying the application fee online will be directed to the payment standard which includes credit card, debit card, net banking.
  • The application fee is RS. 1050/- by online.

PESSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

An applicant who completes the eligibility criteria prescribed on the site of the exam may apply. The university will be declaring the eligibility criteria needed to apply for PESSAT 2020. Aspirants wanting to opt for PESSAT 2020 should check the eligibility given below.

  • The aspirants should be belonging to India or must have a permanent resident of India.
  • The aspirant’s age must be ranged between 17 to 25 years.
  • The aspirants should be qualifying secondary or equivalent examination scoring minimum 60% and 50% for private groups from a reputed Board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

For B.Tech:

Qualification exam: the candidate must approve the 12th standard of a recognized table.
The minimum number of points: it is necessary to have 50% of points in class 12 to enroll in the B.Tech course.
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects in the qualification exam.
Tip: Only previous applicants with the CBSE, ICSE, state, IB and IGCSE commissions will be considered for admissions to the SEP programs. Other candidates for the board of directors must obtain prior authorization before opting for entry.

For M.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have B.E./B.Tech degree in any stream from a recognized university.
  • Score Card: Candidates can also apply through valid PGCET and GATE scorecard.

For MBA:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have 60% marks in their qualifying exams.
  • Score Card: Candidates can also apply through valid PGCET, MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT and GRE scorecard.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply

PESSAT 2020 Exam Pattern

This way they will be able to work efficiently on the exam preparation.

The university designs the examination pattern. Every aspirant must be identical to the examination pattern to get a good result in the examination. You are sure to estimate the level of questions and as per the pattern. The examination pattern will be unlike another exam for various courses.

  • The Examination will be conducted online (CBT) Mode through Computer Based Test.
  • The Examination will be consisting of 3 hours for the B.Tech program and 2 hours for other programs.
  • The Exam paper will include 180 questions in the B.Tech course and 120 questions in other courses.
  • The Aspirants will receive one mark for the correct answer, and there is no negative marking.

PESSAT 2020 Syllabus 

By checking the syllabus, the candidates will be able to know what is to be attempted or covered as topics.

Those who are well-acquainted with the PESSAT 2020 syllabus will be more able to schedule and strengthen their preparation process. The B.Tech program will be prepared from the CBSE table of classes 11 and 12.

The 20 questions will be formulated in the English grammar section. For PG courses, candidates must review the topics covered in the exam templates section. The official authority will provide the program of all courses on its website.

Preparation Tips

  • Must go through the questions document from the previous year and some test series.
  • Always make a study schedule and follow it regularly.
  • Take short notes after what you have studied for the day of the exam.
  • Be aware of the complete program. Do not leave syllabus topics.
  • Practice more questions from different books; it will speed up your problem-solving techniques.
  • Always be healthy.

PESSAT 2020 Admit Card/Slot Booking

Aspirants should firstly go to the website to download the PESSAT 2020 Admit Card. The admit card will be available online only and the aspirants who have filled their Application Form within the definite period are eligible for downloading the admit card.

They should use logon to the website for getting the admit card. You must keep the Xerox of admit card for the exam. Admit card will consist of the primary details about the exam such as date, timings and its venue.

The officials will not resume any responsibility in case you have lost the admit card. So, you are requested to carry the extra copy of the admit card on the exam day. In the admit card aspirants can check the examination

Instruction including exam date & venue, timing, subjects, etc. and then start the exam.

PESSAT 2020 Result

Those who will have appeared in Exam can keep registration no and password ready to check Result of PESSAT 2020. The examination Result will be announced after the examination gets over. The PESSAT 2020 Result comes one day before the assigned date.

The qualifying cut off score is fixed by officials as per exam difficulty level, average candidate performance, and minimum expectations of course.

PESSAT 2020 Cut Off

The cut-offs for PESSAT 2020 will be put up after the Result. The cut-offs are the minimum marks required to be attained by students to get admission in the B.Tech. By the Result, the eligible students will be preferred for counseling.

The university will produce a call letter on the website for aspirants to attend counseling. For the counseling, it will need to bring a copy of the mark sheet.

PESSAT 2020 Counselling

The PASSAT 2020 counseling will begin after the release of the Result. The advice will include two round 1st and 2nd. The 1st round will be held in June and the 2nd round in July 2020.

The students will be chosen as per performance in the examination and will be selected during counseling considered as the final selection.

After getting singled out for counseling, the students will be able to find admission in the preferred courses. Then they may proceed with further procedures.

The counseling will be organized according to cutoffs & rank obtained by the aspirants. The eligible ones will be capable of getting admission on several factors including total No. of applicants, No. of available seats, the difficulty level of the examination, etc.
