PGIMER B.Sc. Nursing 2019PGIMER 2020 Jan. Session Admit Card for DM/MCh Course has been available on 12th December 2019. The Application Form for PGIMER 2020 has been released online at the website of the Institute. The PGIMER is short for the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, which is responsible for conducting the entrance exam.

PGIMER 2020 Result has been Declared on 9th December 2019 for MD/MS Course. PGIMER 2020 Exam Date has been revised now for MD/MS Courses, the Exam will be held on 30th November 2019. The aspirants get through this entrance test for various studies and medical courses. This is a national level entrance test conducted twice every year to provide admission in various PG courses. The entrance exam is held in January and July to offer admission in MD/MS and DM/ MCH and DM Hospital Administrative courses.

Completing the registration requires filling of the form, uploading of login credentials, payment of the fee, etc. Henceforth, the aspirants will need to fill-up the form before the end of application dates.

PGIMER 2020 Admit Card 

The Admit Card has been generated at the official site online. Candidates has get their admit card from 24th  November 2019 (MD/MS) & 12th December 2019 (DM/M.Ch/MHA). The aspirants are suggested to get the admit card or hall ticket of PGIMER 2020 visiting the website.

  • To access the Admit Card, you need to be ready with registration no and password and download it the moment there is a notification on the page.
  • In the absence of hall tickets, the officials don’t allow the students to give the exam.
  • They must attend the exam with the careful use of details printed on the admit card.
  • It must have the signature of the examiner along with one passport size photo on it.

PGIMER 2020 Application Form

The Application Form has been released online for those aspirants opting for medical courses MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, and MHA. Hence, the aspirants need to choose the courses during registration. The concerned officials will generate the form.

  • PGIMER Registration 2020 (January Session) has been started from 26th October 2019 (MD/MS) & 13th November 2019 (DM/M.Ch/MHA).
  • Candidates can be filled until the application form is 14th November 2019 for MD/MS Courses.
  • Forgetting the Application Form, they should visit the website and access the link on the homepage.
  • Enter all basic application details- personal and academic details, for instance. After filling in all the information in an articulate manner, they must attach the scanned image of passport size photo, signature, and thumb impression in a specific manner.
  • Proceeding further, pay the application fee given as follows-
  • With the purpose of acquiring the eligibility, aspirants need to reach the factors-
  • Aspirants should possess MBBS certificates accredited by MCI.
  • The aspirants must bear a one-year rotatory internship certificate.
  • Aspirants were bearing registration certificates of the state or national level medical council.

Payment of Fee

  • Aspirants need to log in and submit the payment details.
  • For all Categories except PwBD: Rs. For all Categories except PwBD: Rs. 1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.
  • PwBD category are exempted from fees/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.
  • PwBD category is exempted from fees

  • The fee submitted by i-collect service, the INB reference no is specified.

Also, the application fee can be paid through Challan at any branch of SBI Bank with the name of – Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination). PGIMER Eligibility Criteria 2020

For DM and M.Ch Courses

Aspirants must possess MD and MD qualifying certificates accepted by MCI.

  • Aspirants must attain a registration certificate of the state or national level medical council.

The exam will be conducted in the offline medium.

  • There will be a total of 250 questions in the exam.
  • The exam will consist of objective questions.
  • The exam will last for 180 minutes.

There is no specification of negative marking by the officials.

For DM and M.Ch Courses

  • The exam will be conducted in an offline medium.
  • The question paper will consist of two parts.
  • In the exam, there will be objective questions.
  • The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes.
  • In the first section, one mark will be given for the right answer.

The negative marking will be exercised in the second section.

For MD/MS Courses

Exam mode: The exam will be organized in Online Mode. The Exam will be held on 30th November 2019.
Some questions: in the theoretical exam, a total of 250 questions will be formulated.
Type of questions: the questioned document will be multiple-choice questions (MCQ).
Duration of the exam: the exam will last three hours.
Correct answers: for each question, one or more of the five options will be correct.
Negative mark: There will be a negative mark for the wrong answers.

For DM/M.Ch Courses: 

Exam mode: The exam will take place in offline mode.
Parties: The theory test will consist of a two-part paper (Part 1: General and Part 2: Specialty), each with 40 points.
Type of questions: During the exam, multiple-choice questions will be asked.
Duration: The exam will last 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Answers: In Part 1, each question has four options, and only one most appropriate answer will be correct. In Part 2, each question has five options, and one or more correct answers will be correct.
Scoring System: In Part 1, a score will be given for the correct answer.
Negative marking: There will be no negative marking in part 1.

This examination will include topics from the issues, i.e., Pharmacology, Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynecologist, Applied anatomy, Applied Biochemistry, Pathology, Internal medicine, Radiotherapy, Social and Preventive medicine, forensic medicine, general surgery, physiology, etc.

PGIMER Preparation Tips

  • Applicants must solve the last 5 to 10 years of the PGIMER exam questions with an adequate explanation.
  • Focus on important concepts and try to review them regularly.
  • Continue to discuss important issues and difficult concepts/facts with your teachers and elders.
  • For studies, you are considering your 6 to 8 hours per day in each subject and section.
  • Candidates also solve work examples to get good grades on the exam.
  • Keep your health too. Avoid junk food and other things to stay fit and healthy.

PGIMER 2020 Cut Off

PGIMER 2020 Result

The Result will be published through an online way for all appeared candidates on the site. The Result contains the marks, ranks, and various other details on it, which appears on the scorecard after downloading it. It would be mandatory to carry a scorecard while counseling.

  • The Result will be declared on 6th December 2019 for MD/MS Courses.
  • They will need the admit card no to download it from the link.
  • The merit list will also appear on the website for those who have participated in the exam.

PGIMER 2020 Counselling

The PGIMER 2020 Counselling will occur for those willing to take up various medical programs. Counseling will only take place for selected students. Those with a higher rank will be capable of attending the counseling.

  • They have first to follow the registration for counseling and pay the fee.
  • Ensure to attend the choice filling and locking wherein you have the options in courses. After the selection of desired classes, they will be secured and fixed, and you will no longer have the authority to make changes in the given choices.
  • The seat distribution will not happen without verifying the documents. They are required to be available at the counseling venue with all necessary certificates and documents.
  • After that, seats are provided to the aspirants by the availability of seats, choices preferred merit in the entrance exam.

PGIMER Admission 2020

After the announcement of the results, candidates must wait for notification of notice. It will be published in the 1st week of December. The advice will be done by the university in offline mode. It will take place in four rounds.

Candidates will appear in the first round of counseling in the third week of December 2020. It will take place on the campus of the university. Applicants must pay admission fees at the time of CASH advice. The admission fee will be Rs. 2485

The distribution of places between the different disciplines in the MD / MS courses will be based on a personal follow-up based strictly on merit. If the candidates do not obtain the subject of their election during the consultation of the first round, they will attend the second/ third/fourth cycle of the council.
