In the state Punjab the Punjab University, Chandigarh is the official authority that conducts an admission procedure for the eligible applicants with an aim to provide admission in B.Ed. courses. However, the admission procedure is commonly known as Punjab B.Ed. Admission 2020.

In order to provide admission to the eligible applicants, official authorities will conduct an entrance exam for the applicants which are known as Common Entrance Test (CET).   • Official authorities will release the application forms for the applicants in online mode on the official website of the university.
  • Applicants need to visit the official website and register themselves on the official website of the university by entering basic details as needed.
  • After successful registration applicants need to start filling the application form which will be available on the website.
  • At the time of filing the application form, applicants need to upload some required documents and enter some required details as needed in the application form.

Application Fee

  • Applicants who belong to the general category need to pay RS 2200/- as application fee for the entrance exam.
  • However, that of reserved category applicants need to pay Rs 1100/- as application fee for the entrance exam.
  • Applicants are instructed to pay the application fee in online mode.
  • Applicants need to pay the application fee by debit card, credit card or net banking feature also.

Punjab Joint B.ED Entrance Test 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The important information related to the eligibility criteria is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

Educational qualification:

  • A matriculation exam should be completed by the applicant from a recognized board or university.
  • However one must have completed the SSC exam with an ITT course from a recognized board or institution.
  • Those applicants are also eligible to apply for the admission procedure who have completed Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity/Social Sciences/Commerce/BBA/BCA/B.A. LLB/B.Com LLB from a recognized university.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with Specialization in Science and Mathematics qualified applicants are also eligible to apply.

Age criteria:

  • The lower age limit of the applicants to apply is not less than 18 years at the time of admission.
  • Authorities have not decided on the upper age limit for the applicants to apply.

Qualifying marks:

  • One should score minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam if they belong to the general
  • However, applicants who belong to a reserved category should score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
