RIST ERDF CET 2021 Application Form has been started now. The notification regarding the same has been published on the official website. The Full Form of RIST is the Regional Institute of Science and Technology.

It conducts ERDF Common Entrance Test which is basically known as ERDF CET. The Common Entrance Test is going to be organized in several places of the North East to select the entitled ones. The RIST aims to provide admission to all the apt students in the B.TECH Programme.

Regional Institute of Science and Technology being the preeminent engineering college is the Fourth project of the ERD Foundation, Guwahati. RIST has been certified by the All India Council of Technical Education known by AICTE. RIST ERDF CET 2021 Application Form

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Application Form has been released on the Official Website. RIST ERDF CET has started an application process for the B.Tech admissions. Candidates can now access an Application Form in online and offline mode.

After the application, the candidates must fill the application form and submit it.

Steps to Apply

  • The RIST ERDF CET 2021 Application Form can be filled in online mode.

Application Fee

Candidates know about the Application Fee details along with the mode of the payment.

  • The Prospectus and Registration form may be obtained from the RIST campus or the City Office at Dispur or Axis Bank branches which are located in the district HQ in North East and the selected Distribution Centres on payment of Rs.500/-
  • Applicants will be able to apply online or go offline by paying the application fee either by Credit, Debit card, or DD, or Cash.
  • The application form can also be downloaded from the website and submitted in conjunction with a demand draft of Rs.500/- made in favor of the “Regional Institute of Science & Technology” which must be paid at Guwahati.

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Students must know the Eligibility Criteria, here in this section we are mentioning the complete Eligibility Criteria which will help them to know the overview of the entrance test.

Candidates must check the criteria for eligibility before filling the application form. If you are eligible and willing to pursue one of the available courses that you can apply for the RIST ERDF CET 2021.

  • Nationality: The student will need to be an Indian citizen.
  • Mandatory subjects: Candidates who want to apply for ERDF CET must have Physics and Mathematics as the main subject. Also Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology.
  • Percentage: Candidates must obtain 45% marks in Physics and Mathematics and 40% marks are for those who are SC/ST/Minority.
  • Seats reserved: There are 33% of seats shall be accommodated for girl students including all branches. There are 25% of seats will be available to students from different Minorities/tribal as well as the other backward communities subject to the fulfillment of the admission policy of ERDF. The Management reserves the right of special category admissions” in accordance with Management Quota (10% of the total capacity).
  • Lateral Entry: For applicants who pass the final Diploma examination in a branch of study according to the AICTE. 
  • AICTE is held by any State Board of Technical Education in the concerned branch of Engineering and the Technology following the 10th or more than 12th. 
    • Candidates must obtain at least 50% marks for admission.
    • Those with B.Sc. degree holders with Maths & Physics are also eligible.
  • Criteria for Selection: 
    • Candidates must obtain the Rank in ERDF CET.
    • Candidates need JEE (Mains) or the State CEE Ranks which must be till 15% of total Energy Consumption 
    • Appointment by the respective Directorate of Technical & Higher Education.

Free for Meritorious Poors

ERD Foundation has taken an initiative to sustenance and provide free education to the exceptionally meritorious students going to families who are under the shortage line as they can not offer the financial accountability of these courses.

To date, the Foundation has specified 12th free admissions and the 30 (thirty) students have been given concessional admissions in miscellaneous branches of B.Tech.

Special seats for the candidates

  • 10% seats of the total consumption are reserved for the State of Meghalaya and another state of North East through nomination by the respective directorate shall be deemed to be subject to the admission policy of the management.
  • On The Other Hand, if a vacancy remains in any of the reserved seats at the end of the counseling for the seats, the same is converted into a general seat.

Students have to maintain the right schedule for preparation and study. This will help the students to be successful in the examination.

  • Candidates need to know the pattern and syllabus of the exam.

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Admit Card

The Admit Card will be available for the candidates through the online mode. The candidates have to bring the government ID proof along with the Admit Card. Admit Card of RIST ERDF CET 2021 will be released. Admit Cards for all the valid applications received by the university will be processed and enabled on the website rist.ac.in. 

Applicants should download the hall ticket from the website after entering their registration no and date of birth and will be made available below to download the hall ticket.

Applicants must bring the Admit Card on the day of the entrance test. No one will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the Admit Card.

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Merit List

RIST shall publish a merit list to be performed in accordance with the schedule. The Merit List will be released to the students on the official website. The candidates need to check the merit list from the website.

After completion of the application form filling procedure, the merit list will be published. The merit list will be published for those who have applied for the B.TECH course. Students will be able to proceed with the counseling procedure on the basis of the merit list.

Candidates nominated are opposed to reserved seats for the other North-Eastern States, by Governments/ Technical Directorate, if they comply with the conditions for eligibility of the ERD Foundation.

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Reservation Criteria

Candidates ranked within the first 10 positions in a Meghalaya & Assam Higher Secondary (Science Stream) examination, provided they safe not less than 75% marks in aggregate in the year in which they seek admission. Such applicants should apply for their immediate admission within 15 days of publication of their qualifying examination results.

  • 10 % of places will be filled through the quota set aside for the State of Meghalaya.
  • 5% of the seats shall be filled through a quota reserved for those other states of the Northeast.
  • 15% of seats would be filled through AIEEE. These seats would be known as AIEEE seats.

Reservation For Women

  • 33% of seats shall be hosted for girl students which includes all branches. 
  • 25% of seats will be provided to students from a number of Minorities or tribes and the other backward communities are governed by the fulfillment of the admission policy of ERDF.
  • Management reserves are rights of special category admissions under Management Quota that is 10% of combined capacity.

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Result

RIST ERDF CET 2021 Phase-II Result will be Declared. The results for RIST ERDF known as the Common Entrance Test will be announced in August 2021. The candidates can download the Result from the official website. 

For the download of RIST 2021, students will require login credentials to download the Result. The Result will contain the details of the candidates like the name of the Applicant, Roll Number, Application Number, Rank Secured by them, Marks Score by them.

Applicants who pass the ultimate Diploma examination in a branch of study on the basis of the AICTE standard. This standard is held by any State Board of Technical Education within the corresponding branch of Engineering or Technology which is subsequent to the 10th or 12th standard. 

It is commended to get a certain minimum of 50% marks in the total will be eligible for entry into the 3rd semester of B.Tech course. B. Sc. Degree holders with Maths and Physics are also qualified for admission.

The eligible applicants must submit the duly filled application forms in Admission Offices. These candidates need not appear in the entrance test.
