Sports Day Speech | Celebration in India | Essay

 

Introduction

The word ‘Sports day’ as we listen to ethe name, there is something like very exciting movement and we got some crazy mind. We cannot think that which sports should we play.

Sometimes and somewhere the sports day is also referring as the field day, in the early days when we were in the school then there were the days were celebrated in our school, in that days there were some group of the days which use to called as the sports days in that time.

There are many schools and colleges organize the events in which many of the competitors take part in that.

Most of the school arranges the Annual sports once in every year. In the school, and colleges the teachers of the sports help and encourages the student that they should take the participation in the sports of the Annual sports ceremony. the event of the Annual Sports usually occurs in the season of the winter, in the school and the colleges.

 

The National Sports Day

in India, there is the celebration of the National Sports Day in India. this national sports day in the India is celebrated on month of the August at 29 every year. this is chosen for the celebration of the national sports day because on this day, there is the birthday of Dhyan Chand, who was the great Indian Hockey Player of the Indian Team.

Dhyan Chand was the such a measurable and such a great player that he won the gold medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928,1932 and 1936. At that time, there was no any player who can defeat them in the match of the Hockey.

Therefore, in every year in the Dhyan Chand National Stadium of the New Delhi there were the organise of the Hockey game and many of the sports between many differen team and the compititers. The Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi is created in the honor of the Great Indian Hockey Player Dhyan Chand.

Dhyan Chand was born on 29 August in the year of 1905 and he died on 3rd of December in the year 1979. Dhyan Chand was an Indian field hockey player, who is considered as one the greatest field hockey players of all time of the India.

There was an era at where the Indian Hockey team player was known as the most dominant and toughest player in the world of the Hockey. He was known for his extraordinary goal-scoring feats, in addition to earning three Olympic gold medals (1928, 1932, and 1936) in field hockey.

Dhyan Chand was also known as “The Wizard”. this name was given him for his superb ball control, the final International match which was played by the Dhyan Chand was in the year 1948.

Dhyan Chand have scored the more than the 400 goals during his whole international career. In the year of 1956 the Government of India awarded him the third highest (then second highest) civilian honour of Padma Bhushan.

We celebrated his birthday, i.e. 29 August, is celebrated as National Sports day in India. In 1933, Chand’s home team, the Jhansi Heroes participated in and won the Beighton Cup, which he considered the most prestigious of Indian hockey tournaments.

 

Benefits of the Sports day

 

In the sports day, there is the many categories of the games are played and the different games have different coach. There were many events like races, jumps, throws, hop-skip-jump, basketball, tennis, musical chairs and cricket etc. in the school and in the colleges, there were some of the games in which the competitors should have to walk in that games.

In our childhood and in the school, there were the most popular walking games were the marble-and-spoon-in-the-mouth and sack races. In the school, there were the races were also arranged for the staff, teachers and parents. In the sports, the participating student or the competitors were divided by the age and by height and by the weight.

In the games or in the sports there are the four different houses for the players of the school. The ground of the sports at where the games is to be played is decorated by the different colors of the flags and some exciting things. All the sectors judges of the different games were seated on chairs beside the ground.

 

By playing the sports or the games it helps to improve both the physical and mental strength of the player. By the sports our body remains fit and healthy.

Because in the sports the games which is played in that players have to be run, jump, and sometimes they get fall, to play the games, the player should have the energy and the capacity to play the games. For the preparation of the sports, players have to do practice of the sports.

 

In the school and in the colleges the annual sports are get held at the place which is predicted by the school and the time or date which was decided by the school. At the sports day, to see the sports there is the relatives, friends and the parents use to come.

In the found there is some judges to grudge the performance of the candidate who are playing the games. The students who didn’t get the opportunity to participate in Annual Sport day also stand among the spectators to support their favorite candidates.

In the last of the sports day there is the price or the medal ceremony of the sports is held, in that the winner player or the candidate get the price or medal for their performance in the sports, this medal or the price is given by the principle or the Chief Guest and other honored invitees.

After the price ceremony, the invitees chief guest and the principle gives the short speech about the games and about the future of the student. After all the close of the programs is announced.

 

Conclusion:

Our life is also like the sports, like in the sports we do lots of the hard work and many practices and in the last our practices fulfill us and give us the reward of that. Like that in our life we have to fight with the more difficulties and have to do more hard work and compete the world and in the last we get success.
