TNEA Random Number 2024

TNEA 2024 Random Number is Assigned from June 2024. The TNEA Random number is the unique number the university provides to every candidate to sort the name of cutoff holders in the ranking procedure. With the help of the random number, the admission authority can determine the merit list position of candidates when there is a tie. A random number will be used to select the candidates for the counselling session.

Based on random, the candidates will get the random number to allocate the seats for counselling, and those will get a high random number they have been assigned to the merit list.

On the official website of Anna University, the random number will be released per the overall and community-wise rank list. There will not be any separate announcements. Through the counselling call letter, the candidates can know their rank separately.

As per the candidates’ choice, the college and branch will provisionally allot through counselling only.

The students have to check the critical information of the TNEA random number by following the details, which are given below.

• By using the random number, the candidates can check the rank list from the official website of TNEA.
• Those candidates have not got their random number and rank list; they can know that information after calling out in the counselling.
• Based on the candidates’ rank, the admission authority will call them out for counselling starting in the last week of June.
• Those candidates are from the sports quota, and a certificate verification process will be done for them.
• If candidates are unable to get their random number through online mode, they have to post a comment with the registration number or contact the office directly.
• More than 550 engineering colleges in the state offer various courses for candidates, and several students may appear for counselling.

How is the TNEA Inter-se-merit resolved?

The TNEA merit list will be prepared based on the total mark of 200. When two or more candidates get the same marks, the inter-se-merit rules are used to resolve and allow the ranks. These rules are

• Percentage of marks obtained by candidates in Mathematics in their 10+2
• Percentage of marks obtained by candidates in Physics in their 10+2
• Percentage of marks obtained by candidates in the Fourth optional subject in their 10+2
• Date of Birth (the older candidate will be given preference)
• TNEA Random number assigned (higher value will be given preference)

TNEA Rank List

TNEA 2024 Rank List will be released in June 2024.

The candidates can check their rank list from the official website of TNEA, and the rank list will be based on the cutoff mark score and ranking marks of candidates. Anna University has published it.

Those candidates will get a higher rank; they have been invited first to the counselling centre. In the call letter, the counselling date will be mentioned for candidates.

TNEA Cut Off

The selection in the merit list is based on TNEA minimum Cut Off Marks; as on the cutoff marks, the candidates have been eligible to get admission to Anna University.

Those candidates will not get the minimum cutoff marks; they have been disqualified from the admission procedure. The cutoff will be determined by evaluating many factors, such as the last year’s cutoff, the number of candidates who have applied for admission, average marks, and more.

TNEA 2024 Counseling

The TNEA 2024 Counseling will be held Online mode from July 2024. The qualified candidates have been shortlisted in the rank list, and they have been called out for the counselling session.

The counselling will be conducted offline mode. The candidates should be present at the advice necessary. If the applicants cannot come to the counselling centre, then candidates can authorize by their parents to go on their behalf.

The seat allotment will be done based on the merit list and communal reservation.

The candidates will have to select their preferred colleges and courses during counselling, and seats will be allotted based on the preference of candidates. All selected candidates have to pay the counselling fees, and document verification of the applicant will be done after the seat allotment.

The candidates must submit all required documents; if they fail, applicants must be disqualified. After successful allotment, the paid counselling fees have been adjusted in the tuition fees.

When applicants have failed to attend the counselling on the given time and date, they have been allowed to participate in the session in another slot provided they have been allotted only the available seats.

If the rank of the applicants changes due to the re-evaluation of marks, they can attend counselling as per their new ranking.

• General Category Rs. 5000/-.
• SC/SCA/ST Rs. 1000/-.
