Latest Applications Open 2020:
UGC NET 2020 June Session Result has been Declared on 1st December 2020. The Cut Off has been released on 1st December 2020. The Admit Card has been available for Examination held on 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th & 13th November 2020. The Exam Dates has been Revised now, the Exam will be held from 24th September to 13th November 2020. Application Correction has been started now.
NET (National Eligibility Test) is organized by the NTA (National Testing Agency). Earlier this exam was conducted once in a year, but as per the University law, it has been changed to once in a year. This national entrance examination is done twice a year to determine the eligibility of the different candidates for the JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) program and the assistant professor or only the position of assistant professor.
The JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) & the Assistant Professor are selected through the NET (National Eligibility Test). This complete test will be divided into two papers, and the applicants have to clear both of them.

UGC NET 2020 New Changes Introduced
Check all the new changes introduced in the UGC NET 2020 Exam:
- According to the changes introduced by the HRD Ministry, NTA will conduct the entrance test of UGC NET 2020.
- Earlier, the exam was conducted for three papers. With an effect on the introduced changes, the entrance test of UGC NET 2020 will be conducted for two papers.

UGC NET 2020 Application Form
The information in regards to the Application form and application fee is as per below:
- The first thing is to fill the Application Form.
- To fill the form the applicants have to select the subject first and the role that they are applying for.
- The Online Application Form of UGC NET 2019 has been released on 9th September 2019 (December Session) and June Session Application Form has been released on 16th March 2020.
- The last date to fill the Application Form online is till the 15th of October 2019 for December Session. and June Session Application Form Last Date is 30th June 2020.
- Then the personal information such as name, gender, parents’ name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, Mailing address, Permanent address, etc.
- Then the educational information such as the subject of PG exam, the status of PG, university name, passing year of PG, the status of M.Phil and D., etc.
- Once the information applicants need to click on save and once done, it will move to a new page where the applicant has to upload the documents.
- The applicants should upload the passport size photo (scanned and the scanned signature with the other mentioned documents.
- All the documents should be uploaded in the appropriate format and size.
UGC NET 2020 Application Fee
UGC NET 2019 Dec. Session Application Fee can be payment till 16th October 2019. Once the part of the document is done, then the next step is to pay the application fee as per the below table.

UGC NET 2021
The UGC NET 2021 Examination is organized through the National Testing Agency (NTA) to shortlist the candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. UGC NET 2021 is done twice in a year. UGC NET 2021 Application Form will be provided from the month of February 2021.
UGC NET 2020 Application Correction
UGC NET 2020 June Session Application Correction has been started from 6th July 2020. In case candidates have made mistakes while filling details in the application or the uploading images, corrections can be made.
The board will open the application correction window after the completion of the application process.
Students can make corrections through online mode. In case any error is found in the uploaded images, a mail or message will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number.
The corrections in the application must be done by the students before the last date; otherwise, the forms will get rejected.
UGC NET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants should have completed their Master’s degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc.).
- The applicants from the general category should have achieved a minimum 55% marks in their Master’s degree exams and should be done from a UGC recognized.
- The applicants from SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD category should have achieved a minimum 50% marks in their Master’s degree exams and should be done from a UGC recognized.
- The applicants from the general category who are interested in the JRF should not be more than 30 years.
- The applicants from SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD category and female applicants who are interested in the JRF should not be more than 35 years
- There is no age limit decided for the Assistant Professor role.
- Appearing Candidate: Candidates who are in their final year of the qualifying exam can also apply.
Exemption (Eligibility for Assistant Professor)
- Candidates must clear their NET/SLET/SET exam to be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor in various Universities or institutions.
- Candidates are successfully clearing their SET before June 1, 2002, recognized by UGC will be exempted to appear in the exam.
- Candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination earlier than the year 1989 are exempted from appearing for the test.
- Candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. Degree by UGC as per the minimum standards and process for the award will be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET/SELT for appointment as Assistant Professor in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
UGC NET 2020 Exam Pattern
The information in regards to the paper pattern is as per below:
- The NET (National Eligibility Test) is divided into two parts and will be conducted in two sessions, and applicants have to clear in both the papers to get selected for the JRF or Assistant Professor only.
- There will be no negative marking done in this examination.
- Each correct answer will be awarded two marks to the applicants.
- Exam Date: UGC NET 2020 Exam will be conducted on 2nd December 2019 for December Session.
- Exam Mode: The entrance test will be organized in an Online CBT mode.
- Number of Papers: There will be two papers for the exam – Paper I and Paper-II.
- Number of Questions: A total of 150 questions will be there in the exam paper. Fifty questions in Paper I and 100 questions in Paper-II.
- Type of Questions: The question paper will contain multiple-choice type questions.
- Language Medium: The question paper will be available in the medium language of English and Hindi.
- Time Duration: Paper I will be of 1-hour duration while Paper II will be of 2 hours.
- Total Marks: Paper 1 will be 100 marks, and Paper-II will be 200 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, two marks will be given. There will be no provision of negative marking for incorrect answers.

The UGC NET 2019 December Session Admit Card has been released on 10th November 2019 and UGC NET 2020 June Session Admit Card has been available on 19th September 2020. It will be available through online mode only by entering the application number and password.

UGC NET 2020 Answer Key
After successfully completing the NET exam, the examining authority will publish the correction key for all documents. The correction key for each article will be published separately.
The Answer key will be released for both Paper – I and II in various sets containing all the right answers to the questions asked in the exam paper. Candidates can also challenge the answer key in case they are not satisfied with the answers given in it.
Applicants can challenge the OMR sheet/response key. To challenge the questions, candidates must pay Rs. 1000 / – for each question. After re-evaluating the objection of the candidates, the final answer key will be published.
UGC NET 2020 Result

The scorecard will be released along with the release of results. UGC NET 2020 Score Card will mention various important details about the candidate and the entrance exam.

UGC NET Cut-Off 2020

UGC NET 2020 Selection Procedure
Qualified candidates for the admission exam in the UGC NET 2020 will be selected from the list of topics by category and category published online.
The top 6% of students who participated in both tests will be considered qualified for the entrance test.
Admission to several universities or institutions in India for the position of assistant professor or JRF will be proposed by the grade limit obtained according to the categories. The top 15% of the best candidates in each category and subject will be selected and declared eligible for the position of Assistant Professor only.
