UKPGMEE
UKPGMEE is the abbreviation for Uttarakhand Post Graduate Medical & Dental Entrance Examination. This exam is now replaced by NEET PG and hence only one national level exam is conducted and not the state level exams. NEET PG 2018 Uttrakhand State Centralized Counselling is conducted by the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun. By this process, the candidates will get admission in postgraduate degree and diploma. This degree and diploma seats will be in the medical and dental colleges of Uttarakhand.

Courses Offered (UKPGMEE 2018)
- MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS Courses (three years) in Govt./Pvt. Medical/Dental Colleges of Uttarakhand against State quota seats.
- MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS Courses (three years) in Private Medical/Dental Colleges of Uttarakhand against All India-Management quota seats.
- PG Diploma Courses (two years) in Government Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh only for in-service Medical Officers of PMHS, Uttarakhand.

UKPGMEE Admit Card
The candidates who applied for the entrance examination can check for the admit card on the official website of UKPGMEE. The admit card will be downloaded by the candidate from the official website of UKPGMEE. The download of admit card will be for a limited period of time.
The candidates will have to give information or log in using id and personal information to access the admit card. After validation in that site, the candidate will be allowed to download the admit card. There will be the deadline for downloading UKPGMEE admit card and candidate are requested to download before the due date.
All the candidates will have to carry the admit card to the examination hall or the online examination centre. In case candidate loses or forget to bring the admit card to the centre the candidate NOT be allowed to sit for the examination. The admit card is mandatory to give the examination.
UKPGMEE Application Form
UKPGMEE application form for the session 2018. The application form will be available in the second week of April. THe UKPGMEE application form will be available online only and no other mode is available. The application form filling for UKPGMEE will be in the month of April that is from the first week of April to the second week of April.
All the candidates will have to fill all the details of their own in the application form of UKPGMEE. The filled information should be rechecked by the candidates to avoid the mistakes. The recheck is necessary to avoid miss typing and other chances of errors. Once the checking is done the candidate will now submit the application form and after submitting the application form the candidate will not be allowed to edit further and entries can’t be changed.
All the candidates applying should make sure that they have appeared for NEET PG and have qualified it. The candidates passed the exam with flying colours can only appear for the counselling and registration process further.
The application form will include details like name, number etc that is personal details, academic details, the area you belong to and other related and relevant details. After that, fill up the details such as courses studied and obtained marks percentage, age, the address for communication, etc. Upload a 35X45 vivid photo of the candidate. Once after that, pay the application fee via Debit card/Credit Card/Internet banking. After transferring the payment successfully, you will get a receipt on your registered email address and Mobile Phone. This details will be filled first and then the procedure will be completed by paying the application fees.
Application fees
The counselling fee of UKPGMEE 2018 is Rs. 2000/- for all category students. There can be different modes of payment for the counselling fees. The fee can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/Net banking.
The counselling registration fee will NOT be returned to any of the candidates under any circumstances.
UKPGMEE Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria are the set of conditions that a candidate needs to satisfy when appearing for a particular examination. The rules are by the examination conducting authorities only. There are some set of rules that are mentioned below to provide reading candidates with the details and conditions of the examination:
- Applicant should be of Indian national.
- Candidates must qualify the NEET PG 2018 Examination.
- Candidates must have passed MBBS/BDS examination from MCI/BCI recognized college of Uttarakhand.
- Candidate’s compulsory rotatory internship training should be completed on or before 31st March 2018.
- Candidate’s registration with MCI/DCI is necessary and its documentary proof is required at the time of counselling/admission.
- The candidate who is currently pursuing any postgraduate medical/dental course from the medical/dental college of Uttarakhand will not be eligible for UKPGMEE 2018.
UKPGMEE Counselling
The counselling date and procedure for UKPGMEE counselling will release on its official website of UKPGMEE. The registration fee for one-time counselling will be Rs. 1000/-. The candidates are provided with the address and contact information so that the candidate can get the required information properly.

Based on the exam result, the institute prepare final merit list and the names of candidates added to the final merit list will later call for counselling secession. To participate in online counselling, candidates must ready with the Testing ID provided by NEET 2018. Verification of the candidate will require a valid mobile no. fr new user or even for registered user. There will be more than one round of counselling so the candidate who fails to register in the 1st round of counselling will not be permitted to register in 2nd and subsequent rounds of counselling.
The documents that are required at the time of counselling should be self-attested. The documents required for UKPGMEE counselling are:
- High School (10th)
- MBBS/BDS Degree Provisional/Permanent.
- Internship Completion certificate.
- Registration with State Medical/Dental council/MCI/DCI.
- Certificate of Reserve category, if applicable.
- Certificate of Sub Category, if applicable.
- NOC from competent authority for PMHS Uttarakhand candidate only
- NOC from competent authority for the student serving under Bond
- Domicile Certificate (Uttarakhand candidate only)
UKPGMEE Results
The result of UKPGMEE will be provided on the official website of the UKPGMEE. The date of release of the result will be in the mid of April. The list will be category wise merit list only for those candidates who are eligible. The merit list will be displayed on the University official website. The qualifying marks for GEN category will be 50%, for SC/ST/OBC category it will be 40% and 45% for PwD candidates.
In case, multiple candidates scored equal marks in UKPGMEE, then the selection of the right candidate will be on the basis of following two factors.
- The older candidates will get more preference than the younger
- In case the age of the applicant is same than in order of alphabet the names will be placed in merit.

UKPGMEE Exam Pattern
The exam will be written exam of UKPGMEE and this will be conducted in the last week of January 2018. The exam conducting authority G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnagar, Uttarakhand conducts the exam once in a year to offer admission for MD, MS, and MD courses at medical/dental colleges located in the state.
Exam pattern is as follows:
- Candidates have to appear for one paper only and the exam duration will be 3 hours.
- The question paper will contain 300 Multiple Choices Questions (MCQs) and the paper will be set in English language only.
- Each correct answer will lead to the addition of one mark. No negative marking is applicable for wrong answers.
- Syllabus of the entrance exam comprises important topics for MBBS/BDS level under Medical/Dental Council of India (M/DCI) regulation. The below box lists the important topics and its weight.
