Uni GAUGE 2020: Application Form Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

Uni GAUGEERA (Educational Rating and Assessment) Foundation are the ones who organize the Uni GAUGE for the applicants who are interested in getting admissions in the B.Tech courses in the connecting institute. It is a state-level examination regulated by the Educational Rating and Assessment Foundations (ERA).

The exam will be held in 140 cities across India. The Uni Gauge score will be accepted by the 14 participating member universities.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Application Form

Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given below before filling up the Uni GAUGE Application Form 2020:

  • The Uni GAUGE Application Form will be released in the third week of January 2020.
  • The information in regards to the Application Form is as per below:
  • The Application Form will be available for the applicants from the official website.
  • The filling of the application involves too many steps and we have tried to list a few of them.
  • Candidates have to fill the form before the last date, i.e. 2nd or 3rd week of April 2020.
  • Candidates have to carefully fill and check the information provided in the Application Form before the submission.
  • After the successful registration, candidates will receive the user ID and password on their mobile number and email ID.
  • The authority will also provide the correction facility in the Application Form.
  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of the Application Form for further use.

Step 1: Registration on the website:

To register the applicants have to enter the below details:

  • Applicants Name
  • Applicants DOB
  • Email Id
  • Contact number
  • From the drop-down select the ID proof (Voter id, Aadhaar, Passport, DL)
  • Enter the number of the ID proof selected
  • Then generate the OTP by clicking on the tab
  • Enter the OTP that is received in the text on the mobile number and validate it.
  • Enter the CAPTCHA and then click on the register
  • Once this is done the confirmation message will show up on the screen
  • At the same time, an email or a text will be sent with the user id and password to the applicant.

Step 2: Log in again to the website.

Once the credentials are received.

  • Applicants have to close the page and log in again using the credentials.
  • On the home page, the applicants will see the tab “GO to application”
  • Click on the tab and it will open the Application Form on a new page.

Step 3: Selection of the course.

On the new page select the course that the applicant is interested in.

  • Applicants can select any two of the three listed.
  • The dropdown will have the below-listed courses
    • PCM-Uni-GAUGE only – Fee is Rs 1600/-
    • PCM- Both (COMEDK UGET & Uni-GAUGE-E) – Fee is Rs 2100/-
  • Here applicants can check for the centers also for the courses and select them.
  • Then click on save and move to the next step.

Step 4: Filling the details.

Applicants have to be very careful while filling the application.

  • The 1st important thing is to read all the instructions carefully and then follow it.
  • Applicants have to enter the personal details first which includes too many things such as applicants full name, Father’s/Guardian’s full name, Mother’s full name, Gender, Nationality, parent’s/guardian’s mobile number, Unique ID Proof & Unique ID proof number, parent’s/guardian’s annual income, correspondence & communication details, state, district, city and pin code, etc.
  • Applicants have to enter the category details in the second part of the form such as Karnataka or Non-Karnataka,

If you select Karnataka in the Belong section, then select the following details: 

On selecting Karnataka, candidates have to select from the 2 options whether they belong to Karnataka by Birth or by Domicile

  • Select Language and Religious Minority (if applicable)
  • Select your category

If you select Non-Karnataka in the Belong section, then select the following details: 

  • Select Religious minority
  • Select category
  • Applicants have to enter the educational details in the third part of the form such as the SSC, HSC details, Year they appeared in, Scores, subjects, etc.
  • Applicants also have to upload the required documents as the fourth part of the form.
  • The applicants have to select the city as the center and also do the application fee payment online.
  • The payment confirmation number and the receipt should be kept safe.

Step 5 Submission of the form

The applicants should recheck the applicant for if nothing is missed.

  • The applicants also should take the print of the filled Application Form.
  • If the applicant feels that everything looks good then they can submit the Application Form.
  • This should be done in the given time period as application after the due date will directly be rejected.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee for PCM candidates will be Rs 1600/-.
  • The application fee will be non-refundable.
  • The application fee can be paid online via net banking, credit card or debit card.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The information related to the Uni GAUGE is as per below:

  • The applicant should be more than 17 years of age while applying for the exam.
  • Applicants should provide a declaration about their admissibility to ERA foundation.
  • The applicants who already have the diploma can also apply for the Uni GAUGE.
  • The General category applicant should have cleared the HSC and achieved a minimum of 45% of the score in the exams.
  • The reserved category applicant should have cleared the HSC and achieved a minimum of 40% of the score in the exams.
  • The applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry & Math’s in SSC & HSC and must have cleared in the exams also.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks for general and 40% for SC/ ST and OBC candidates.
  • Age Criteria: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2020.
  • Diploma Holders: Diploma holder candidates are also eligible to apply.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Exam Pattern

The information related to the paper pattern is as per below:

  • The question paper will be set in only one language English.
  • The exam will be scheduled online no pen and paper involved.
  • The applicants will get 3 hours to solve the paper.
  • There will be a total of 180 questions in the paper.
  • Each correct answer will be given 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking done in this entrance exam.
  • The question paper will be based on physics, chemistry, and mathematics and each subject will have 60 questions.
  • Type of Questions: The questions will be multiple-choice questions (MCQ type).
  • Duration: Total of 3 hours will be given for the exam.
  • Total Questions: Total number of questions will be 180.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus will include three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics for more detailed information applicants can refer to the website.

Physics:

Kinematics, laws of motion, motion of systems of particles and rigid body, gravitation, properties of bulk matter, thermodynamics, behavior of perfect gases and kinematic theory of gases, physical world and measurement, oscillations and waves, electrostatics, current electricity, work energy and power, magnetics effect and current and magnetism, electromagnetic induction and alternation current, optics, dual nature of matter and radiation, atoms and nuclei, electronic devices, communication systems

Chemistry:

Atomic models, rules of filling electrons and orbitals, types of chemical, introduction of structure of atoms, molecular orbital theory, hydrogen bond, intermolecular forces, quantum mechanical model, shapes of atomic orbital, ideal behavior, bonds, valence bond theory, deviation from ideal behavior, liquid state, thermodynamic terms, first law of thermodynamics, spontaneity,  third law of thermodynamics

Mathematics:

Venn diagram, linear and quadratic inequalities, permutation and combinations, binomial theorem, sets and their representations, sequences and series, relations and functions, trigonometric functions, straight lines, conic sections, three dimensional geometry, limits and continuity, probability, principal of mathematical inductions, relations and functions, inverse trigonometric functions, matrices, determination, differentiability, applications of derivatives, definite integrals.

Uni GAUGE Preparation Tips

Here are some preparation tips that candidate may follow in order to perform well in the Uni Gauge 2020 examination:

  • Make a plan for your preparation and Stick to it.
  • Make a proper time table and also include some time for extracurricular activities.
  • Consider the best books available in the market or the internet.
  • Solve previous year question papers and sample papers.
  • Avoid learning new topics at the last moment.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Exam Admit Card

Below is the information related to the admit card:

  • The Uni GAUGE hall ticket 2020 will be released in the first week of May 2020.
  • The admit cards will be released on the official website for the applicants.
  • Applicants can download the document using their registration credentials.
  • Applicants have to carry the admit card while attending the exam as it is mandatory.
  • Applicants should keep the admit card safely till the admission process gets over.

Uni GAUGE Answer Key 2020

The provisional response key will be published through the online mode. The answer key can be verified in the third week of May 2020.

Candidates may question the answer key through online mode using their username and password. Candidates must pay Rs. 500 for clarification to challenge the answer key.

If any candidates find any error regarding the answer key, they can submit an objection. After receiving and analyzing the clarifications, the final answer key will be released in the last week of May 2020.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Exam Results 

Below is the information related to the results for UNI GAUGE.

The Uni GAUGE 2020 scorecard will be released on last week of May 2020. Aspirants can check their result online by entering the required login details.

  • The results will be also released on the official website.
  • Applicants have to download the results from the website
  • The results will show the scores achieved by the applicants in the entrance examination.

Uni GAUGE Counselling 2020

  • The admission process will begin after the publication of the scorecard. It will start in June 2020.
  • Applicants must apply separately to the participating university where they wish to be admitted. Candidates must send the required documents to the university.
  • The respective university will verify the submitted documents and prepare a list of merits. After that, students will have to participate in the admission process.

After downloading the scorecard candidates will have to directly apply to the institutions, accepting Uni Gauge score. Counseling procedure will be held through offline mode.

Uni GAUGE 2020 Admission Procedure

Candidates should have to follow the instructions mentioned below to participate in the Uni GAUGE 2020 admission procedure conducted by the universities accepting scorecard:

  • Candidates are advised to download their test scorecard from the website.
  • Candidates have to check their eligibility criteria in the website of participating university for the respective course.
  • Candidates have to apply separately to the university that they are interested in along with the downloaded scorecard and prescribed documents mentioned by the participating universities on the website.
  • University will publish a merit list of the candidates who have successfully submitted Application Form to the university.
  • After that, the participating institutions will conduct the admission procedure.
