UPMT Admission 2019: Application, Dates, Eligibility Criteria

UPMT stands for Uttarakhand Pre-Medical Test. UPMT is a state level examination. The UPMT ( Uttarakhand Pre-Medical Test ) is conducted by the  H.N.B. Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU). The UPMT is conducted for the admission in medical (MBBS) & dental (BDS) courses or programs. UPMT courses are offered by various dental and medical colleges of Uttarakhand that our government as well as private colleges. Since 2016 the admission in this admission is usually based on the NEET score.

UPMT consists of three papers which are of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) types. NEET (CGPMT) will have 3 attempts for those who have made 3 attempts prior to 2017 since this rule is applicable since 2016. UPMT 2019 will continue with the same rule that NEET’s first attempt will be the only attempt and will be counted as one.

UPMT counselling will be conducted in the second week of July 2019. The counselling for medical state quota seats will be organized by the same HNB medical university. There will be many other activities that will be conducted for UPMT and dates for those will be mentioned in the article below.

The admit card to UPMT will not be issued by the authorities of UPMT. The admission to UPMT will now be based on NEET UG score. The only procedure that will happen is the filing of the registration form and directly after that, the counselling will get started for the private as well as government college of Uttarakhand. The counselling will be for Medical courses.

The result for counselling will be available on official website of UPMT. The UPMT will not give any admit card that will make the candidates deprive of the information and thus candidates are requested to check the official website of the UPMT regularly.

UPMT Application Form

The application form will be available online on the official portal of UPMT only via online mode. The application form for UPMT will not be provided through offline mode. Application Form will be available online from the second week of July 2019. The last date to submit the UPMT application forms will be in the last week of July 2019 (tentative).  Candidate can fill the application form of UPMT exams through online on the official portal of the official website of the UPMT.

In the application form, the candidate has to fill the following information candidate have advised filling the qualification code, Center of Examination, category, exam medium, gender and Adhaar number carefully. The candidate must scan their passport size photo in JPEG format. The size of the photo must be 4.5cm x 3.5cm memory should not exceed 200 Kbytes. With these compulsory conditions, the candidate must upload their along with the properly and completely filled application form.

NOTE: Candidates due to NEET only one application form is required and thus such documents are not mandatory and therefore the candidates must be ready with all the prerequisites mentioned above.

The candidate’s only one application form is accepted by the UPMT conducting authority only and no offline means are available.

The detailed process for online or offline application form is given below:

  • Download the application form and take the printout (for the future reference) of it.
  • The application form will be available from the second week of July 2019.
  • Candidates are required to fill all details in the application form carefully.
  • Paste recent photograph in the application form.
  • No other documents are required to attach with the application form of the UPMT.
  • Candidates have to submit the application form at the notified locations (as per centre opted), on specified dates, along with self-attested copies of required documents.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 2000/- for the general category and the OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs. 1400/-. If the candidate does not apply in the given amount of time or until the last date (given) then the candidate has to pay late fees.

Candidates have to pay the application fee before the due date. Late charged fees. Once payment is done it will not be refunded back to candidates. Candidates can pay the application fees online through different modes. These modes include a credit card/debit card/net banking.

The payment for application form can be online. The online payment is done through credit card/debit card/net banking/NEFT.

Below is given application form fees of UPMT exams:

  • The application fee of UPMT 2019 will be Rs. 2000/- for general
  • The application fee of UPMT 2019 will be Rs. 1400/- for SC/ST/PH Candidates category candidates.
  • Candidates have to submit the application fee by online mode.
  • The late fee will be charged if the candidate will fill the form after the last date of submission of application form.
  • Candidates can pay through e-challan from the Oriental Bank of Commerce. The generation of e-challan will be only after the complete submission of the application form.

UPMT (NEET) Eligibility Criteria

The candidate has to check they are eligible for applying or not if the candidate didn’t know about the basic detail they can face difficulty at the time of admission process. Candidate of the Indian citizen or Non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders are also eligible to apply. The minimum age of the applying candidate will be 17 and maximum he/she can apply till 25 years of their age.

Before filling the application form candidates can check their UPMT exams eligibility criteria Nationality, Age Limit Criteria, Qualification Criteria, etc given below:

The eligibility criteria for UPMT 2019 are mentioned below:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate has to clear their intermediate examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
  • They have to obtain at least 50% marks (for general category), 40 % marks (for the SC/ST/OBC category) & 45% (General Category PH).
  • Candidates have to complete minimum 17 years of age as on 31 December 2019. The maximum age limit is 25 years as on 31 December 2017. There will be a 5 years age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply for UPMT 2019.
  • The candidate has a valid Domicile of Uttarakhand state.
  • Candidates those have completed their high school or intermediate from Uttarakhand Board, they can also apply.

UPMT (NEET) Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing UPMT exams have to complete their paper in mentioned hours. As per board law candidate will not give extra time to complete paper. Candidate will ask objective type questions with multiple optional answers for each question. The time duration for UPMT is 3 hours.

In exams Question, the paper pattern will be in OMR form. There will be a total of 200 objective type questions. The exam paper will be conducted in 2 different language that is English and Hindi. Candidates have to choose for their suitable language. There one will be only one question paper. For each correct answer, a candidate will be given 1 marks. There will be no negative marking.

UPMT (NEET) Result

UMPT (NEET) exams result will be published by the conducted authority through online, official portal of HNBUMU.  Candidates can check result from the first week of August 2019 (tentative). No individual scorecard will be issued to candidates. The result will be available in pdf format candidates can download and view the result. After the declaration of the result, the candidate must keep an eye on the websites like CBSE, Medical Counselling Committee,  Participating Universities/ Institutions till the conclusion of the final round of Counselling.

To see result candidates have to enter detail in official portal page for correct page type correct detail. If candidates type wrong detail on page website will show error. All the candidates those are shortlisted in the result will get called by the authority for the counselling process.

  • UMPT (NEET) 2019 result will be published in the month of August 2019.
  • Candidates those appeared in the examination can check their results via online mode through the website.
  • The individual scorecard will not be given to any candidate.
  • On the basis of the result, the admission will be provided and then the candidates will be called for the selection procedure.

UMPT Counselling

After the result announcement, UMPT selection process will start. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form on official website of the UMPT or other notified centres and obtain Acknowledgement card with registration number as a proof of form submission. The admission will be provided to the in MBBS/BDS programmes.

If after the counselling the seat remains vacant then the admission will be done on the basis of HSSC that is 10+2 marks (qualifying exam). The procedure for seat allotment will be released on 24th of the July.

Admission will be done on the basis of candidates score marks in entrance exams. Candidate appearing counselling has to bring all required documents for registration and verification. If candidates have submitted incorrect document candidates admission will be cancelled. The candidates will be assigned the seats on the basis of merit list. Counselling process will comprise of registration, online document verification, choice filling and locking, counselling and seat allotment. After seat allotment, students have to report to the allotted college with required documents and prescribed fees.

In PMET under all India Quota seats, there are seats reserved for the candidates who belong to the SC/ST/OBC/PH category.

UPMT Cutoff

The cut off will be decided by the authorities and on the basis of cutoff marks scored by the candidate in the examination (UPMT). The list for cutoff will be released by the conducting authorities of UPMT. The cutoff list will be set on the basis of how many candidates appeared in the examination.

UPMT Result

UPMT 2019 result will be announced online by the official authorities on the official website of the UPMT by the conducting authorities. The result will be declared in the month of August 2019. The authority that is conducting the exam (UPMT) will not release the result category wise.

After the result declaration, candidates will stay in touch with the websites of CBSE, Medical Counselling Committee and Participating Universities/ Institutions until the conclusion of the final round of Counselling.

Syllabus for UPMT is available on the official website of UPMT. From there, candidates can download their syllabus. The candidates should focus on the officially given syllabus and prepare thoroughly for that.

The syllabus will consist of  Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
The syllabus of UPMT will be prepared after analysing the different states syllabi as well as those prepared by NCERT, CBSE and COBSE.

  • Choose the right study material available in the market or on the internet for UPMT.
  • Practice from previous years question papers it will help you to understand the exam pattern of UPMT.
