VMAT is the abbreviation for Vignan Management Aptitude Test. VMAT is a standardised state level entrance exam.  The exam is for MBA courses. VMAT entrance exam for admission in undergraduate management program is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Technical University, Andhra Pradesh. Important Dates

Importants dates of the event are the dates assigned for a particular event to happen on a certain date. Below is the table telling about the dates and the events which happen on a particular date.

The candidates who applied for the entrance examination can check for the admit card on the official website of VMAT. The admit card will be downloaded by the candidate from the official website of VMAT. The download of admit card will be for a limited period of time.

The candidates will have to give information or log in using id and personal information to access the admit card. After validation in that site, the candidate will be allowed to download the admit card. There will be the deadline for downloading VMAT admit card and candidate are requested to download before the due date.

After 4-15 days of registrations last date, candidates will receive an email from ATTEST asking them to select their test centre, exam date & time slot for the examination. All the candidates will have to carry the admit card to the examination hall or the online examination centre. In case candidate loses or forget to bring the admit card to the centre the candidate NOT be allowed to sit for the examination. The admit card is mandatory to give the examination.

Some important steps to Download VMAT Admit Card

  • Visit the official website of Vignan University.
  • Look for the link specifying “VMAT 2018 Admit Card” in the notifications and click on it.
  • Enter the personal details like Name, Registration Number and Date of Birth.
  • Click on the Submit button.
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Check all the details mentioned in it and take out multiple printed copies for future reference.

VMAT Application Form

VMAT application form for the session 2018. The application form registration will be available in the last month of March. The VMAT application form will be available online only and no other mode is available. The VMAT registration form will be available from the third week of May 2018.

 All the candidates will have to fill all the details of their own in the application form of VMAT. The filled information should be rechecked by the candidates to avoid the mistakes. The recheck is necessary to avoid miss typing and other chances of errors. Once the checking is done the candidate will now submit the application form and after submitting the application form the candidate will not be allowed to edit further and entries can’t be changed.

All the candidates applying should make sure that they have appeared for VMAT and have qualified it. The candidates passed the exam with flying colours can only appear for the counselling and registration process further.

The application form will include details like name, number etc that is personal details, academic details, the area you belong to and other related and relevant details. After that, fill up the details such as courses studied and obtained marks percentage, age, the address for communication, etc. Upload a 35X45 vivid photo of the candidate. Once after that, pay the application fee via Debit card/Credit Card/Internet banking. After transferring the payment successfully, you will get a receipt on your registered email address and Mobile Phone. This details will be filled first and then the procedure will be completed by paying the application fees.

Eligible candidates could then fill the VMAT 2018 application form following the steps shared below:

• The process of the application forms will be commenced in the month of December 2016.
• There are two modes to fill the application form. The candidate can make avail the form either via post or also can download the form.
• In both cases, the application form will be submitted to the exam conducting body.
• The candidates are required to ensure that they write their name, application number and contact info on the reverse side of the DD.
• The fee is Rs 200 which is to be paid along with the application form.

Application fees

The counselling fee of VMAT 2018 is  Rs. 200/- for candidates. There can be different modes of payment for the counselling fees. The fee can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/Net banking.

  • The application fee can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets).
  • The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The counselling registration or any kind of fee will NOT be returned to any of the candidates under any circumstances.

VMAT Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are the set of conditions that a candidate needs to satisfy when appearing for a particular examination. The rules are by the examination conducting authorities only.  There are some set of rules that are mentioned below to provide reading candidates with the details and conditions of the examination:

  • A minimum percentage must be obtained by the candidates to be eligible for VMAT  such as –
  • Those who have scored minimum 55% marks in the Bachelor’s degree with ICET Rank below 75000 can apply
  • Those who have scored minimum 55% the Bachelor’s degree with MAT score above 500
  • Those who have scored at least 60% B.Tech
  • Those who have scored at least Bachelor’s degree with minimum 70 percentile in CAT
  • Those who have scored at least 50% marks in any of the disciplines in the Bachelor’s degree

VMAT Counselling and Admission Procedure

The counselling date and procedure for VMAT counselling will release on its official website of VMAT.This counselling also contains Admission Procedure for this the student   The candidates are provided with the address and contact information so that the candidate can get the required information properly.

The candidate has to fill state form for the admission procedure.  This process will be conducted by the competent authority for allotting seats to the candidates. The counselling process will take place on the basis of merit prepared as per the candidate’s score on the entrance exam.

Based on the exam result, the institute prepare final merit list and the names of candidates added to the final merit list will later call for counselling secession.  Verification of the candidate will require a valid mobile no. fr new user or even for registered user. There will be more than one round of counselling so the candidate who fails to register in the 1st round of counselling will not be permitted to register in 2nd and subsequent rounds of counselling.

The final selection for VMAT 2018 will be made on the basis of the following parameters and weight-ages:

The documents that are required at the time of counselling should be self-attested. The documents required for VMAT counselling are:

  • Candidates have to carry the admit card with attested photograph and its photocopy.
  • One attested copy of Senior Secondary Examination mark sheet
  • One attested photocopy of the confirmed result of qualifying exam (XIIth standard).
  • Original certificate that states a candidate belongs to the particular category
  • Latest Income Certificate of the parents (applicable only to the candidates belonging to OBC category) original and one self-attested photocopy.
  • Class X Board Examination Certificate
  • Class X Marks-Sheet
  • Class XII Marks-Sheet
  • Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
  • Character Certificate (recent)
  • SC/ST/PWD/CW Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Candidate) issued by competent authority.
  • Transfer Certificate from school/college as well as Migration Certificate from Board / University is required from those students who have passed the senior secondary exam from outside city.
  • At least two passport size self-attested photographs.
  • Two self-addressed envelopes
  • Two self-addressed postcards

VMAT Admission Procedure includes following three steps. The first stage will let the aspirant to the next stage and then to the final one which facilitates the final admission.

VMAT Results

The result of VMAT will be provided on the official website of the VMAT. The date of release of the result will be after 3-4 weeks of the exam. The list will be category wise merit list only for those candidates who are eligible. The merit list will be displayed on the University official website.

The exam will be written exam of VMAT and this will be conducted in the first week of March 2018. The paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions. The exam conducting the authority University of Vignan, Andhra Pradesh, India conducts the exam once in a year to offer admission for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at colleges participating in the VMAT. For English, 25 questions of 25 marks each, for Aptitude 50 questions of 50 marks each, and for reasoning section, 25 questions for 25 marks each.

Exam pattern is as follows:

  • The time duration to complete the exam is 120 minutes
  • There is no negative marking for the wrong attempt, so students can freely attempt all the questions.
  • For every correct answer, 1 mark will be given
  • The exam will be conducted only in the English language
  • The questions will be asked from the subject like Reasoning and Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Mathematical Ability, English Language and General Awareness.
 This paper will consist of 3 sections and 2 of each section will consist of 25 questions and 50 questions in one of the section.
