VSAT 2018: Counselling, Merit List, Cut off & Admission

VSAT 2018 Counselling has been started on 10th May 2018.VSAT stands for Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test, it is a University level entrance exam. It is conducted by the Vignan’s University. VSAT  is organized by the University for admission to B.Tech program offered by the Vignan’s University and its affiliated campus.

The admission to B.tech in Vignan’s University is completely based on the score of VSAT, EAMCET, and JEE Main entrance exam. The probable dates for conducting entrance exam is in the third to last week of April. The VSAT counseling procedure will start in the second week of May month.  The VSAT result will be declared in the last week of April.

VSAT is conducted online and conducted by Vignan University, Vadlamudi, Guntur Campus, Andhra Pradesh, India.

There are different courses provided by the Vignan’s University for the appearing aspirants. These courses are mentioned below:

Those applicants who will choose their subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English or Aptitude in the VSAT, those applicants will be eligible for B.Tech programs provided by the Vignan’s University. Those applicants who choose Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or Aptitude in the VSAT, then the applicant will be eligible for courses like  B.Tech. Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering & Food Technology Programmes.

VSAT Result 2018

The VSAT 2018 Result has been declared on 27th April 2018.The Result of VSAT is the result or the marks obtained by the applicant in the VSAT entrance exam. VSAT result is declared on the official website of the University. The result released by the University is in the form of Rank Card. The result was declared in the last week of April.

After the result is declared the Merit list is prepared on the basis of performance of the applicants in the entrance exam.

After the merit list is prepared then the student will be called for the counselling based on the merit-rank the applicant is holding on the merit list.

Admit Card for VSAT

The VSAT 2018 Admit card is available from 3rd April 2018 through online mode. VSAT 2018 Admit card will be dispatched through courier or speed post. All the applicants can also get their admit card through online mode.

The admit card contains information regarding candidate name, candidate roll no., test centre, test date, signature, etc.

All the applicants can download the admit card in the form of pdf. The students are requested to preserve the admit for the future reference. The admit card should be preserved till the admission procedure is over. All the applicants should take the print out of the admit card.

The applicants who will not bring their admit card to the examination hall will not be allowed to set for VSAT. All the applicants are requested to bring the admit card.

VSAT Application form 2018

Candidates can fill the application till 10th April 2018.The application form is the entry form for appearing for the entrance examination that is VSAT. The VSAT application form will be generally available in the second week of November 2017. The last date for receipt of the filled application form will be in the second week of April 2018.     Applicants can get their application form by post from the University office. The application form can be taken after paying application fees of Rs. 1000 via DD. The application form for VSAT, applicants can also get from Vignan Schools or Colleges at Guntur, Eluru, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vignan offices at Vijayawada, Guntur & Hyderabad.

    In the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, throughout, the application form can be obtained from any branch of Indian Bank.

  3. Download Application form

    The official website provides with the application form link. Those applicants who wish to fill the application form for VSAT can download the application form from the official website of VSAT and fill it. The Applicants have to pay application fees of Rs 10000/- after filling the form then only it will be considered submitted. They have to pay this in DD (Demand Draft).  Then applicants have to send this application form along with DD to the given address on the reverse of the DD.

VSAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

Eligibility Criteria are the condition bar set by the authorities. This condition bar must be satisfied by the applicant in order to apply for the VSAT. By fulfilling the eligibility criteria and successfully filling the application form the candidate can further go for VSAT. 

There are some criteria which an applicant needs to satisfy. These criteria are mentioned below.

All the applicants applying for VSAT must be born on or after 1 July 1996. The Applicant should have completed their Intermediate or equivalent examination. In this Intermediate examination, the applicant has to secure at least 60%. Those candidates who are appearing for such examinations can also apply.

VSAT Exam Pattern

The exam will be held from 21st – 25th April 2018 in three slots (8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM & 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM).

Exam Pattern is the brief idea about the question paper to be asked in the entrance exam. It helps to improve the quality of the study and let the applicant know better about the exam.

Here we are discussing the exam pattern of VSAT. The VSAT 2018-19 entrance exam held in 2 slots. The duration of the examination is 3 hours. The language in which the question paper is asked s English. There are 4 sections in the question paper they are: Physics, Chemistry, English/Aptitude, Mathematics or Biology. The number of questions asked in the question paper is 120 questions.

Marking scheme of VSAT is quite simple. It is like 1 mark is awarded for every correct question whereas no marks are deducted for wrong answer (No Negative marking).

Counseling of VSAT 2018

The counselling process will be conducted during 10th – 20th May 2018. Once the procedure of Result and its announcement is done, along with the declaration of Merit list, the Counselling process gets started. The probable dates for Counselling of VSAT are between the second week of May to last week of May.

Applicants are requested to check the actual dates on the official website of VSAT once they declare it. 

The counselling process will be held for the applicant to choose their own choice of subject for further studies and also the preferred college of the Vignan’s University. While the applicant is called for counselling the applicant must bring all the original and necessary documents required at the time admission procedure. The list of documents is provided in this section of the article below.

Those candidates who fail to bring the all the mentioned documents will not be allowed to attend the counselling process without documents. The admission to any of the college will be strictly based on the merit list, that is created on the basis of entrance examination.

The counselling process will be organised at the  Vigna’s University premises at Vadlamudi, Guntur District, A.P.

The important documents required at the time of counselling procedure is:

The merit position of the candidate will be marked on the basis of marks obtained in VSAT, EAMCET or JEE Main entrance exams. Once the seat is allotted to the applicant then the applicant has to report to the allotted college on a particular schedule given by the college authorities.

In case applicant fails to join or present on the given schedule then the seat will be allotted to some other student present at that time.

VSAT Application fees

The application fees is the fees an applicant needs to pay to appear for the entrance exam.

All the candidates are required to pay Rs. 1000/- as the application fees. The applicant paying this amount will be allowed to seat for the VSAT entrance examination only.

There is only one mode of payment that is through DD (Demand Draft). The applicant will pay through Demand Draft drawn in the name of  “Vignan University” payable at Guntur.

Applicants should keep the DD properly and should submit it directly to the college office or they can also send it via the post on the earlier mentioned address in this article.

VSAT Syllabus

The syllabus for VSAT includes the topic from all the 12th std subjects. The subject includes Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.

All the candidates must study all the topics covered in the class 12th of the above-mentioned subject. This will help you to clear the examination. The questions asked in the exam will be from this topics only. The questions will be of moderate difficulty level.

The applicants are suggested to read their textbooks of std 11th and 12th properly in order to achieve a good score in the VSAT.

VSAT Preparation Tips

The applicant can prepare through the textbooks of XI and XII which will help them to secure a good score.

All the applicants can pay heed towards the study more than anything. Also, all the applicants can seat for at least 4 straight hours to score nicely in any entrance exam. Apart from this students are also requested to keep themselves healthy in order to achieve a good score. After all, health is important for healthy working of the brain.
