KVPY Admission 2023 Inspire SHE Application Form Last Date has been Extended till 9th November 2023. KVPY 2023 stands for [Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana]; it is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, to encourage students who are studying Basic Sciences to take up research careers in Science.

The students are selected from those studying in XI standard, XII standard, 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences, namely B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Math. / B.Stat. / Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, having an aptitude for scientific research.

An applicant must apply for all courses online only. No hard copy of the application is available.

KVPY 2023 Application Form – Released

KVPY 2023 Registration 

KVPY 2023 Application Form has been Released Online Mode. An applicant is required to throw the KVPY 2023 website: http://www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in.

• All the candidates must first register online before filling out the application form. You may do this by clicking on the link of the online application form for KVPY 2023; you will be directed to the login page.
• KVPY Admission 2023 Application Form has been released on 10th September 2023.
• KVPY 2023 Application Form Date for the closing of online applications (Registered candidates only) 30th November 2023.
• During the registration, an applicant provides a valid email address and an active mobile number since the KVPY 2023 office will use these contacts for all future communications with the applicants.

KVPY 2023 Application fee

Candidates have to pay application form fees as mentioned in the form category-wise. Fees can be paid online or Offline Mode.

• The application will be Rs.1250/-for general and OBC and Rs. 625/- for ST, SC, and PwD Candidates.
• Candidates will pay the application fee via net banking, credit card, and ATM-debit card.
• Fee payment will also be made through e-challan.

Eligibility 2023 Criteria

Candidates can apply after reading the complete eligibility criteria to appear in the exam:

• Nationality: Applicants must be Indian national citizens.

Stream SA

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates who appear in the 11th class or passed the 10th class with Science and Mathematics subjects can apply.
• Minimum Marks: Securing 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the qualifying exam is compulsory.

Stream SX

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates appear in the 10+2 exam with the science stream from a recognized board.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must obtain 75% marks in the 10th class (65% for reserved category candidates) with mathematics and science (PCB) subjects. Minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in mathematics and science subjects (PCB) in the 12th class.

Stream SB

• Qualifying Exam: Appearing in the 1st year of the UG program in Basic Sciences such as Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S
• Minimum Marks: Secured 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in mathematics and science subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the 12th standard. In the 1st year final examination of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. One should secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks before joining the fellowship.

KVPY Application Dates 2023

Here, we have updated the tentative exam schedule for the KVPY online registration:

Procedure to Fill KVPY 2023 Application Form

• Fill in your details carefully such as Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Mobile Number, Email address, etc.
• You cannot edit or make the change once you fill in the above information and submit it.
• Once the registration page is submitted, an email will be sent to the registered email address with a link for validating the email address (in case candidates do not find the email in the Inbox, please check the Junk/Spam folder).
• A password will be sent to the 12 registered mobile numbers, which must be used to complete the registration process.
• If a wrong email address and mobile number were provided, one must register immediately with the correct details. Do not delete the email sent to you. This can be used for future reference.
• When you return to the login screen, you must enter your email address and the password sent through SMS. You will receive an application form and an application number on successful login.

After logging in with your Candidate ID and Password, you can:

• View your partially filled application form,
• Edit your application information (except some fields) by clicking on the Edit button and
• Upload the mandatory documents like scanned photograph, signature, and Cast / Disability certificate as applicable.

Note:  Please upload your recent passport-size photograph and signature: max 80 KB (Only JPEG and JPG formats) and upload your Caste certificate: max 300 KB (Only PDF, JPEG, and JPG formats)

Please keep the following ready before filling out the online application form.

An applicant should have a scanned image of their

• Photograph and
• Signature
• Scanned copy of the caste/medical certificate (for PWD) in CD/DVD/Pen drive at their convenience.
• These documents will be required for uploading and submission of your Online Application.
• A valid E-mail and Mobile Number is mandatory for registering your Online Application.
• This E-Mail and Mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of results (Aptitude test and Interview).
• KVPY will send important information about your application and examination of this registered E-Mail/Mobile number.

Signature Specifications

• Please put your signature with dark blue ink on white paper.
• Get the signature digitally photographed/ imaged/scanned by a professional photo studio and get the image cropped to the required size.
• Only jpg image formats will be accepted.
• Maximum pixel resolution for jpg: 300 x 800.
• Minimum pixel resolution for the image: 150 x 400. Mobile phone photographs of signatures are not acceptable.

Photograph Specifications

• The photograph must be taken in colour by a professional studio. Mobile phone photographs and self-composed portraits are NOT acceptable.
• The photograph must be taken against a white or light blue background.
• The photograph should not be more than three months old.
• The face should occupy about 50% of the area in the photograph, with eyes looking into the camera directly.
• The main features of the face must not be covered by hair, cloth, or shadow. The forehead, nose, cheeks, lip, and chin should be visible, and both eyes should be open.
• If you take a photograph with a spectacle, please note that the glare on the glasses is not acceptable in your photo. Glare can be avoided with a slight downward tilt of the spectacle or by removing the spectacle for the photoshoot.
• You must not wear spectacles with dark or tinted glasses; only clear glasses are permitted.
• Ask your photo studio to provide the image in a JPG format that can be uploaded.
• Maximum pixel resolution for jpg: 640 x 480 (0.3 Megapixel). (Ask your studio to reduce it to this resolution if it is higher)
• Minimum pixel resolution for jpg: 320 x 240.
