Indian Institute Of Information Technology, Bhagalpur, commonly referred to as IIIT Bhagalpur, is an independent Institute which is one between IIIT establishments under the patronage of Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, established in the year 2017. It was established into a joint venture of Govt. of India, Govt. of Bihar, and BELTRON. Govt. of Bihar has been supplying 50 acres of land for making a permanent campus of the institute and the construction for the entire same will probably start in no time.

The institution was envisioned to create technocrat by providing high-quality education, research by inculcating technical skills so that they can play a pivotal role in transforming the world and community service. The institute offers some B.Tech courses in several valuable specializations. IIIT Bhagalpur has been initiated with 2 concentrations of B.Tech, viz. Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering with the annual consumption of 60 seats for each specialization.

With the session commenced in 2024, the institute has invented a new branch that is to say Mechatronics Engineering (30 seats). Admissions to all the specializations are carried out through JEE Main organized by JoSAA/ CSAB. All the candidates must have a 10+2 pass certificate in the relevant science stream with requisite aggregation marks.

Facilities

Library: To address the needs of the students of the assistance books and supporting materials, a central library is there at the premises of the institute which holds a number to 3,000.

Accommodation Facility: The institute offers accommodation establishments in the shape of hostels both for children and girl students, carrying a number one for each. The hostels are being constructed very near to the main study campus and carry all the modern amenities& basic facilities to cater to all the needs of the hoteliers.

Students have a LAN ability to link, 24 hours water &electricity supply, health facilities, TV rooms, study rooms, a mess at each hostel, volleyball court, badminton court, football cum cricket ground, ATM facility, and 24Χ7 safety surveillance.

Electronic Lab: Within the institute, practical knowledge is a must nightmare in order to provide efficient education to the students. In this connection, an electronics lab is there at the campus to support the students between their respective course studies.

Conference Room: There is a Conference Room at the campus having a capacity of 15 and is well-equipped with one PTZ Camera with 43″LED TV with a Video Conferencing facility through Panasonic Codec. It also features a Projector with a well-equipped sound system.

Virtual Classroom: The institute has a reputable Virtual classroom for 1:5 Video Conferencing and is well equipped with PTZ Camera, Projector, 43″ LED TV, Amplifier, Wireless MIC, Presenter, and Sound System.

Computer Lab: Have a computer lab that is used by the student to perform their daily laboratory assignments on the systems by utilizing the central wi-fi facility using virtual class.

• To get admission to IIIT Bhagalpur, one needs to clear the Joint entrance examination (JEE Main). B. Tech admissions into CSE and ECE programs are conducted through JoSAA.One needs to take the JEE (Main) exam and either secure as a minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class XII or be within the category-wise top 20 percentage rankings in his/her respective Class XII board examination.
• Admissions are performed on the basis of rank in JEE Main through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round.
