The Institute of Actuaries of India is providing the online entrance test for the candidates and this entrance test is popularly known as ACET (Actuarial Common Entrance Test). The candidates have to fill the application form of ACET to give the examination and after the result; candidates will get admission in the IAI on the basis of the result. In the exam of ACET, there are two papers such as Mathematics and Statistics.

Every year many of the candidates may appear for the examination of ACET to get admission in the IAI. On the basis of result, the admission will provide to the candidates.

ACET Exam Pattern 2021

The ACET examination is conducted two papers in the exam for the candidates and the papers will be Mathematics and Statistics.

There will be a total of 55 multiple choice objective type questions in the exam. The 25 questions carry one mark each and the next 25 questions carry 2 marks each.

The last 5 questions carry 5 marks each.  Candidates will be allotted 2 hours to answer all questions. The maximum marks allotted for the exam are 100. Half marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  • From May 2016 ACET is a 3 hours exam conducted online. It has 70 multiple choice questions with one correct answer for each question.
  • The question paper pattern and distributions of questions as under
  1. 45 questions – 1 mark each
    b. 20 questions – 2 marks each
    c. 05 questions – 3 marks each
    3. The syllabus includes the following

Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having 55% of weightage and

Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage

  • The syllabus basically was covering Mathematics and Statistics of 10+2 Level.

The Old Structure of ACET

  • The exam of ACET was a 2 hour, 100 marks online exam. ACET exam had 55 multiple choice questions of a total of 100 marks with one correct answer for each question.
  • The question paper pattern and distributions of questions as under:

    c. 05 questions – 5 marks each
  • The syllabus basically was covering Mathematics and Statistics of 10+2 Level.
