AIBE is the qualification exam to achieve the “Certificate of practice” in legal professions. BCI will examine the ability of the lawyer ability to practice law in India.

AIBE  2022 Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the requirements for admission to the exam. If the candidate is eligible for the exam, he can only obtain the “Certificate of Practice” and continue with his legal profession.

The written Examination of AIBE will be done offline in different cities of India. Applicants must meet the academic criteria and other possibilities. We have mentioned the Eligibility Criteria of AIBE 2022 below.


The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Academic Qualification

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate should possess a full-time LL.B degree from any institution from any state which is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • Minimum Marks: There are no minimum marks criteria in the qualifying examination.
  • Attempts: Candidates can appear as many times as it requires. There is no restriction on the number of attempts.
  • All candidates who completed their bachelor’s degree in LL.B after 1st July 2011 onwards are eligible to apply irrespective of their enrollment for more than two years as an advocate on a State Bar Council.

Other Qualification

  • It is necessary to be enrolled as an advocate with a State Bar Council.
  • Candidate must have the Advocate Admit Card/Enrollment Card issued by the State Bar Council.
  • Candidates who come under the reserved category candidates must have to upload the Category Certificate at the time of registration.

Some Instructions Regarding AIBE  Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who should not comply with the eligibility prescribed by the State Bar Council are advised not to apply.
  • If any candidate will find to be ineligible in later stages, their candidature will be canceled.

    Is there any age limit to appear in aibe exam


    I am a BACHELOR OF LAW DEGREE HOLDER FROM DELHI UNIVERSITY DELHI PASS OUT IN OCTOBER 1984. I enrolled myself in 16 Dec-2019. My enrollment no. is PH/7067/2019 issued by the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council Chandigarh,a provisional enrollment upto 15 Dec 2021 for two year only.
    Is necessary/need to appear/pass AIBE or not for me?
    Plz clarified at the earliest.
