ASSAM TETThe Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) is the state level teacher eligibility test, which is conducted through the Department of School Education, which is also known as the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), of the State Government of Assam.

The ATET test is conducted to recruit teachers for the lower primary and upper primary classes in schools and the lower primary category includes classes from 1 to 5 whereas the upper primary category pertains to the classes 6th, 7th, and 8th.

ATET Application Form 2020

From the month of June/July, the ATET Application Form will be available and those candidates are interested and eligible to get recruited for lower primary and upper primary class teachers in government and private schools of Assam. Before the last date of submission, candidates have to submit it. Candidates can fill the Application Form by following the simple steps mentioned below.

  • First of all, candidates should have to go on the official web page of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, State Government of Assam.
  • The applicants should have to click on the link of an Application Form provided on the official webpage.
  • In the Application Form, candidates should have to fill all the correct and complete details as asked.
  • They should have to upload their photograph and signature as per the instructions in the notification.
  • Candidates need to make the payment of application fee and submit the Application Form and also take the print out of it for future use.

Application Fee

The Assam TET Application Fee for all the candidates is Rs.400/- and the relaxation of application fee for the reserved category candidates will be notified along with the notification. Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode by using internet banking, debit, or credit card.

ATET Eligibility Criteria 2020

It is necessary for the applicants to check the Eligibility Criteria before applying and the Eligibility Criteria details are

  • Candidates should belong from Indian Citizenship.
  • They must be a local resident of Assam to be eligible for this exam.
  • Applicants should be qualified in minimum qualifications from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.

Lower Primary Level

  • Candidates should be qualified in class 12th education from a school of a recognized board.
  • They must have to clear all the subjects in his/her class 12th final examinations with at least 50 percent marks in his/her higher secondary examinations if he/she belongs to the general or open category.

Upper Primary Level

  • The applicants should be qualified in class 12th education from a school of a recognized board at least 50 percent marks if they belong to the general or open category.
  • They must have a two-year B.Ed (Bachelor in Education) during his/her graduation.

ATET Exam Pattern 2020

Those candidates have applied in this examination; they must have to prefer the exam pattern for better preparation. There will be two exams, Paper 1 and Paper 2.

  • Qualifying Marks: The candidates who will secure 60% Marks or above will be considered as a qualified ATET Entrance test.
  • Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted through the offline mode.
  • Duration of the exam: The question paper will be off 3 hours.
  • The number of questions: The question paper will be of 200 Questions.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 200 Marks.
  • Types of Questions: The questions will be asked in the multiple-choice format (MCQs).
  • Marking Scheme: +1 one marks will be allotted for each correct question.
  • Negative Marking: Ther will be No Negative Marking in this Test.
  • Language: The candidate can obtain 5 languages out of 20 languages. The main paper will be in English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Bodo.

ATET Admit Card 2020

Those applicants have successfully submitted their Application Form, they can download the admit card. By using the required details in the required field, applicants can download the admit card and the applicants will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without admit card. Candidates should have to take the print out of the admitting card for future use.

ATET Answer Key 2020

On the official webpage of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the ATET Answer Key will be available and the applicants can calculate and estimate their marks with the help of the answer key. Applicants will be able to know their performance in the examination before the declaration of result.

ATET Result 2020

The ATET Result will declare on the official website of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, State Government of Assam and those applicants have appeared in this examination, they can check their result through online mode by visiting on the official web page. On the basis of marks scored in the examination, applicants will be selected for teaching jobs. Applicants will get ATET Eligibility Certificate after scoring qualified marks in the examination. This certificate is valid for up to 7 years.

It is mandatory for the candidates to score minimum cut off marks to fetch the Assam TET Eligibility Certificate. The cutoff marks are different for different categories such as SC/ST (Hills)/ST (Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH).
