Assam Women’s University 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates pursuing admission to Assam Women’s University must meet the eligibility criteria for different undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates need to know the criteria, which will help them know if they are eligible to get admission in this university.

Here are the following eligibility criteria for different courses of different streams.

• Candidates must have to be Indian citizens.
• Candidates should have permanent residency in Assam.
• It is necessary to study at least 7th class to 12th class from Assam Board.
• The students whose parents are transferred outside of Assam can get relaxation during the period their parents were living outside.
• Candidates’ age will lie between 17 to 24 years as on 31st December 2024
• Age relaxation exists for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.).

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates must appear in the 12th or equivalent from a recognized board/ university.
• Subjects: Candidates must qualify for the 12th exam with any subject.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must obtain 50% marks (45% for SC and 40% for ST candidates) in the 12th examination.

For PG Courses:

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates applying for this exam should pass the graduation exam.
• Subjects: Candidates must be passed graduation with any subject.
• Minimum Marks: The candidate should score 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) in the graduation examination.
