Admission Procedure

Candidates will get admission in four years B.Tech courses based on national level entrance examination and state level entrance examination.

The seat will be allotted for the candidates based on their preferences and their marks scored in entrance examinations.

The applicants should have to register themselves for counseling procedures.

Entrance Exams

Applicants will get admission to B.Tech programs based on their marks scored in the JEE Main entrance examination conducted through the National Testing Agency.

Applicants can also apply in the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) to complete their engineering programs.

To get admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, candidates can apply to both JEE Main and JEE Advanced Entrance Examination.

Students will get admission in postgraduate engineering programs based on the GATE entrance examination.

Applicants should have to check their eligibility criteria before applying for the examination at the state or national level. The eligibility criteria have mentioned below.

• The candidate should hold Indian nationality.
• Candidates should pass the 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates must have Physics, Mathematics, and anyone (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational) in the qualifying exam.
• The minimum marks in the 12th class are 45% (40% marks for reserved category candidates).
• Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

Those students who have given the state or national-level entrance examination and they have scored qualified marks in the examination, they will be selected in the merit list. The merit list students will be invited for the counseling procedure.

Applicants can participate in the counseling session and they should have to fill in their choices of colleges and courses.

Based on marks scored in the examination, seat availability, and choices filled by the candidates, admission will offer to the candidates.
