BHU PET Admission Exam Dates has been Announced now; the Examination will be held from 11th to 28th March  2024. The application form will be Started Soon. The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has organized the BHU PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test) to offer admission to candidates in various postgraduate courses like M.Sc, M.A, LLM, M.A Mass Communication, MFA, M.Com, and MCA offered by the university. 

Applicants will get admission to their aspiring postgraduate programs based on marks obtained in this examination. Aspiring and eligible candidates can fill out the application form online mode.

BHU PET 2024 Application Form

The BHU PET 2024 Application Form will be released soon on the official webpage of Banaras Hindu University. Applicants wishing to wish to get admission to various postgraduate programs in Arts, Commerce, Social Sciences, Agriculture, and Environment can apply to BHU PET by filling out the application form and the procedure mentioned below.

• Candidates need to go to Banaras Hindu University’s official webpage first.
• They should have to click on a link to the Application Form provided on the webpage and fill in all the correct and complete details in the application form.
• The applicants must upload their recent scanned Photograph and Signature as per the prescribed format in the application form.
• They must select five Exam Centers from the drop-down menu and pay the application fee online.
• After that, applicants have to submit and download it. They also have to take the printout of it for future use. 

Application Fee

• The BHU PET 2024 Application Fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 500, and INR 200 for the additional Subject application fee.
• The application fee is INR 250 for SC and ST candidates, and the additional subject application fee is INR 100, respectively.
• The application fee can be paid online as well as offline mode. 

BHU PET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to check their eligibility criteria before filling out the application form, and the eligibility criteria details are

• The applicants must be qualified with Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• There is no upper age or lower age limit for application.
• They should belong to Indian Citizenship.
• Candidates seeking admission to the M.A course in Language must have studied the concerned Language at a B.A. level. 
• No minimum eligibility marks will be applicable for SC/ ST candidates.
• For OBC and the Physically Challenged category, a minimum of 45 % marks is required in the Degree examination.

BHU PET Exam Pattern

The applicants will be able to know the question paper’s structure with the exam pattern’s help. The medium of the exam is English and Hindi, and the Language is concerned with Linguistic subjects. All Papers will be in English and Hindi except for Sanskrit.

BHU PET Syllabus

In the BHU PET examination, the syllabus includes objective-type questions based on the concerned subject of the qualifying exam.

BHU PET 2024 Admit Card

On the official website, the BHU PET 2024 Admit Card is available soon, and those applicants have successfully submitted their application forms.

They can download the admit card using the Unique Registration ID and Email ID in the required field.

The applicants must take a printout of Admit Card and affix a passport-size photograph. 

BHU PET 2024 Result 

BHU PET 2024 Results will be Declared in November 2024 on the official website of Banaras Hindu University, and the applicants can check their results if they have appeared in this examination.

The result displays Sectional marks, overall marks, and rank obtained by the applicants will be mentioned on the result.

Applicants can check and download the result, and as per marks scored in the examination, applicants will be selected on the merit list. 

BHU PET 2024 Counseling 

BHU PET 2024 Counseling will be started in November 2024. The counselling session is conducted through Banaras Hindu University, and applicants selected on the merit list will get a call letter to attend the counselling session.

There will be the procedure of Online Preference Entry in which applicants have to select their choice of course, location, and seat type.

Candidates must have to carry the required documents for verification and make the payment of the admission fee after confirming the admission. Candidates have to carry these required documents, such as

• Transfer Certificate.
• Migration Certificate, if applicable
• High School Certificate/equivalent Certificate and Mark list
• Intermediate (+2) Certificate and Mark list
• Mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination/Degree Certificate and Mark list
• PET Admit Card
• Category Certificate, if applicable
• Certificate in support of a claim for ‘Sports Seats.’
• Certificate of being the son/daughter of a permanent in-service employee/Retired/Reemployed/ Deceased employee of BHU
