The first education board to be set up in I India was the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School & Intermediate Education in 1921 which was under the jurisdiction of Rajputana, Central India & Gwalior. Earlier govt. of India set up a joint Board named “Board of High School & Intermediate Education, Rajputana. This included Ajmer, Bhopal, Central India Gwalior. In 1952 it became the “Central Board of Secondary Education”.
There are 19,316 schools in India & 211 schools in 25 foreign countries affiliated with CBSE. CBSE affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools & most of the schools approved by the Central Govt. of India. Important Points to Remember:
Students will get an extra 15 min for reading the question paper only.
- The duration of the Exam will be of 3 hours.
- It is advised that students must report to the examination center at least 30 mins before.
- It is compulsory to carry their admit card, otherwise, they will not allow sitting in the exam.
- Students should not opt for any unfair means for writing the exam. If caught by the examiner student may not opt for the CBSE 10th examination for the next year.

- The result will be declared after 2 months of the examination.
- Students need to have their admitted card to check the result.
- Students can download & take a print out of the result.

Students must know their syllabus clearly in a systematic manner.

- Students should plan their studies according to their subjects.
