GCET 2024 Counseling will be Started in 1st week of June 2024. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has established the Goa Common Entrance Test. (GCET). It offers various courses to candidates, and applicants seeking admission to the Institute of Goa can fill out the application form GCET to take the examination.

Every year, most candidates may appear for this examination. The courses provided by GCET is in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Homeopathy Nursing and other allied courses for candidates. The various professional colleges of DTE are located in Goa, and the Goa resident candidates can apply for this exam.

GCET 2024 Counselling Schedule

Candidates can check all the related official schedules of the admission process.

The GCET Counseling will be conducted through the DTE and will start in June 2024. It will be conducted offline; all shortlisted candidates must be at the counselling centre.

All candidates must carry the required documents to the counselling centre. Those candidates will score a higher rank in the Examination of GC. Only they will be shortlisted in the merit list; they can then attend the counselling procedure.

GCET 2024 Counseling Procedure

After the result declaration, the counselling procedure will be done for the candidates, and those candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will go for the counselling round.

• Those students will be shortlisted in the merit list based on a written exam and viva voce; they will be called for the counselling process.
• The merit list will be prepared separately for all the categories.
• The merit list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the official website or notice boards of the Administrative Committee.
• As per the allotted counselling time and venue, the candidates have to appear for the counselling.
• Candidates are required to fill in their preferences from the available seats.
• Applicants must bring the fees and documents required for document verification.
• After seat allotment, students must appear at the allotted college to complete the admission process.

Documents to be Carried for GCET Counseling

The candidates must carry the required documents at the counselling centre, which is necessary for all candidates.

The documents will be verified in the counselling procedure to provide admission to candidates, and the required details are mentioned below

• 02 recent passport-size photographs.
• Mark sheet of Class XII or equivalent.
• Birth Certificate from the competent authority.
• Resident Certificate.
• Leaving/Transfer certificate from the school last attended, duly signed by the principal.
• Income Certificate.
• Non-Migrant Caste certificate (For SC/ST category).
• Non-Creamy and Non-Migrant Caste certificate (For OBC category).
• PH certificate.
• Children of Goa State/ Central Government Employees must submit the service certificate of their parents.
• Domicile Certificate.
• Certificate of Nativity.
