GCET 2019 Counseling will be Starting from August 2019. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has established the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET), and it is offering the various courses to candidates, and those applicants are seeking to get admission in the institute of Goa can fill the application form of GCET to give the examination. Every year most of the candidates may appear for this examination.

The courses are provided by GCET is in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Homeopathy and Nursing and other allied courses for candidates. The various professional colleges of DTE are located in the Goa, and the Goa resident candidates can apply for this exam.

The GCET Counseling will be conducted through the DTE, and it will be starting from the 2nd week of August. It will be conducted through offline, and all of the shortlisted candidates have to be present at the counseling center. It is necessary for all candidates to carry the required documents at the counseling center. Those candidates will score the higher rank in the examination of GCET, only they will be shortlisted in the merit list, and after that, they will be able to attend the counseling procedure.

GCET Counseling Procedure

After the result declaration, the counseling procedure will be done for the candidates and those candidates will be shortlisted in the merit list, they will go for counseling round.

  • Those students will be shortlisted in the merit list on the basis of written exam and viva-voce; they will be called for the counseling process.
  • The merit list will be prepared separately for all the categories.
  • The merit list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the official website or notice boards of the Administrative Committee.
  • As per the allotted counseling time and venue, the candidates have to appear for the counseling.
  • Candidates are required to fill their preferences from the available seats.
  • Applicants have to bring the fees and documents required for the document verification process.
  • After seat allotment, students have to appear at the allotted college to complete the admission process.

Documents to be Carried for GCET Counseling

The candidates have to carry the required documents at the counseling center and it is necessary for all of the candidates. The documents will be verified in the counseling procedure to provide admission to candidates and the required details are mentioned below

  • 02 recent passport size photographs
  • Mark sheet of Class XII or equivalent
  • Birth Certificate from the competent authority
  • Resident Certificate
  • Leaving/Transfer certificate from the school last attended, duly signed by the principal
  • Income Certificate
  • Non-Migrant Caste certificate (For SC/ST category)
  • Non-Creamy and Non-Migrant Caste certificate (For OBC category)
  • PH certificate
  • Children of Goa State/ Central Government Employees must submit the service certificate of their parents
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Certificate of Nativity
