University Of Gour Banga, Malda was created by the Act XXVI of 2007 passed by West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The university currently owns 38 affiliated colleges among them the 25 general degree colleges. • Master of Arts is a 2-year duration course proposed by the university. Various fields of specialization at which the university provides the course are Arabic, Bengali, Economics, English, Education, Geography, History, Science, Sanskrit, Political, Sociology, and Philosophy.
