GPATThe GPAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria has been announced by the NTA. GPAT is the National Level Entrance Examination for the Pharmacy courses organized by the NTA once a year. After giving the GPAT 2021 Entrance Examination, The candidates get admission into M. Pharma Programmes.

The eligibility criteria are set based on the parameters, such as educational qualification, age limit, and nationality, which candidates have to fulfill. GPAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

It is very important to fulfill the complete Eligibility Criteria of GPAT 2021 Entrance Examination. Candidates are requested to check out the complete GPAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria, and later on, they can fill the GPAT Application Form.

The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree B. Pharmacy (10+2+4) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2021-21 can also apply for GPAT – 2021 computer-based test (CBT). B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply.

The candidate must be a citizen of India. There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT – 2021.

If any candidate finds to be ineligible for the examination in a later stage, their candidature will be canceled. Below we have mentioned the complete eligibility criteria.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after class 12).
  • The final year of B. Pharmacy can also apply for GPAT exam.
Appearing Candidates
  • Candidates who are in their final year of B.Pharma degree can also apply for the entrance test.
  • Candidates who are in between 1st to 3rd year in B.Pharma are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.
  • B. Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) candidates or their equivalent are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for Scribe/Reader

The reader/scribe must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have to complete his/her 19 Years of age as on 27th January 2021.
  • The scribe must not have any relation or involvement in teaching, Tutoring or any type of test preparation.
  • The candidate who is going to be the scribe must not be any family member or the Friend of the candidate.
  • Candidate should have academic qualifications lower than the candidate.

GPAT 2021 Exam Pattern

The GPAT 2021 Exam Paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) The language of the GPAT 2021 Question paper will be in English language only. No Other language will be preferred. The duration of the GPAT 2021 Exam is 3 hours of time.

Reservation

For admission to a participating institute, please see the reservations applicable to that particular institute. In case of institutes run by Central Government, 10% of the seats are reserved for Category General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), 15% of the seats are reserved for the category Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for the category Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 27% for the category Other Backward Classes belonging to the “ Non Creamy layer” (OBC-NCL). Each category will have 5% horizontal reservations for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016).

Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC–NCL) are as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column. State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must choose General.
