HP-NLETHPNLET is referred to as the HP National Law Entrance Test which is conducted by the authority of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HP NLU). Through HP National Law Entrance Test (HP-NLET) candidates can get admission in programs such as – B.A/BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and Ph.D. in law.

HPNLET is popularly known as Himachal Pradesh National Law University Entrance Test (HP-NET), and in this law, entrance exam candidates are evaluated out of 150 marks. Candidates have to attempt all the questions asked in HPNET in two hours.

HPNLET Application Form 2020

Candidates have to fill the Application Form for HPNLET on the official website of HP National Law University. Through online mode, a candidate can fill HPNLET 2020 Application Form. Take print copies for further reference. All candidates have to pay application fees.

Once HPNLET Application Form is filled, aspirants need to pay the application fee online using an Online Payment Gateway – Credit Card/Debit Card and Net Banking. Once payment is made, it will not transfer or refunded back.

Steps that aspirants need to follow to fill HPNLET 2020 Application Form correctly are as mentioned below:

  • Candidates need to visit the login page of HPNLU and click on the “Register to apply now” link.
  • Next, aspirants need to read details such as Eligibility Criteria, Selection Process, Reservation Guidelines, and the likes thoroughly.
  • After that, candidates need to fill all their details in the “User Registration Form.”  After filling the details, students need to click on the “Confirm” button.
  • After creating the login, the first page that aspirants come across is “Application-Locker.” Here, candidates need to select “Himachal Pradesh National Law University from the list.
  • Further, candidates need to select their HPNLET 2020 Application Form and click on the apply button and fill all the details in all the sections of the form. Candidates also need to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature.

  •  HPNLET 2020 Eligibility After filling all the details, aspirants need to click on the submit button and go back to the Application Locker page.
  •  On the Application Locker, aspirants need to go to the Pending Applications area. Here, they need to select the form for which they want to pay the fee. Candidates can pay the application fee by Online Payment GatewaysCredit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking.

Candidates who have cleared their Class 12 or equivalent examination (10+2 system) with at least 50% aggregate marks (for unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Person (SAP)/NRI/NRI Sponsored Categories/Kashmiri Migrants) from a recognized board and also Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are eligible to apply if they have secured 45% marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam. Candidates check full criteria as provided to be eligible to apply.

HPNLET Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates meet HPNLET eligibility criteria if they have cleared their Class 12 or equivalent examination (10+2 system) with at least 50% aggregate marks (for unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Person (SAP)/NRI/NRI Sponsored Categories/Kashmiri Migrants) from a recognized board.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are eligible to apply if they have secured 45% marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam.
  • Apart from this, aspirants who have appeared for their qualifying exam in April/May 2020 are also eligible to apply for HPNLET.
  • Any aspirant who has completed his 10+2 or equivalent examination through an Open University (without possessing any basic qualification) is not eligible to apply for the law course admissions.

HPNLET Exam Pattern

Check HPNLET Exam Pattern for BA/BBA LLB (Hons) in which candidate is evaluated out of 150 marks and Also, for each correct answer in this law entrance exam one marks will be given. HPNLET  Exam Pattern for LLM admission comprises of 120 multiple-choice questions. The weight allotted to each of these MCQ questions is one mark and attaining paper has to attempt one essay type question of 30 marks weightage on Contemporary Legal Problems in the HPNET exam for LLM admissions.

HPNLET BA/BBA LLB (Hons)

In the HPT exam for BA/BBA LLB (Hons) course, aspirants are evaluated out of 150 marks. Also, for each correct answer in this law entrance exam, aspirants are awarded one mark.
