The IBSAT authorities will decide the weightage of the IBSAT score and the GD/PI rounds.

The merit list will be divided into two categories: General and Reserved. The Reserved category includes candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). The merit list will be used to shortlist candidates for admission to the IBSAT participating colleges. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s overall performance in the IBSAT and GD/PI rounds and their past academic record.

Candidates who score below the cut-off marks will not be called for the GD & PI rounds. The GD & PI rounds are the final stage of the IBSAT selection process. Shortlisted candidates for the GD & PI rounds will be evaluated on their communication skills, personality, and leadership potential.

Determining Factors of IBSAT Cutoff 2024

The IBSAT cutoff 2024 is not fixed, and it can vary from year to year. The factors mentioned below will all play a role in determining the cut-off for the upcoming exam. The IBSAT cutoff 2024 may also be influenced by other factors, such as the performance of the candidates in the previous year’s exam, the economic conditions of the country, and the overall demand for MBA programs. The IBSAT cutoff 2024 is determined by several factors, including:

  • The difficulty level of the IBSAT 2024 exam: The difficulty level is one of the most important factors that determines the cut-off. If the exam is difficult, the cut-off will be lower. This is because fewer candidates will be able to score the minimum required marks.
  • The number of candidates who appeared for the IBSAT 2024 exam: The number of candidates who appeared for the exam is also an important factor. If there are many candidates, the cut-off will be higher. This is because the colleges will have to select fewer candidates from a larger pool of applicants.
  • The number of seats available in the IBSAT participating colleges: The number of seats available in the IBSAT participating colleges is also a factor that determines the cut-off. The cut-off will be higher if there are a limited number of seats, the cut-off will be higher. This is because the colleges will have to be more selective in their admissions process.
  • The reservation policies of the IBSAT participating colleges: The reservation policies of the IBSAT participating colleges also play a role in determining the cut-off. The colleges are required to reserve a certain number of seats for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

IBSAT 2024 Expected Cutoff

The cutoff may vary for different categories of candidates, such as General, Reserved, and PwD. The IBSAT authorities will announce the final cutoff after the results are released. However, for 2024, the cutoff is expected to be around 65-75 percentile for the top IBSAT institutes.

You will also need to provide the difficulty level of the previous year’s exam. Once you have provided this information, the percentile predictor will estimate your percentile. It is important to note that these predictors are only estimates, and your actual percentile may vary.

Here are some tips for using a percentile predictor:

  • Make sure you use a reliable percentile predictor.
  • Use the predictor as a guide, not a definitive measure of your performance.
  • Take multiple mock tests to get a better idea of your performance.
  • Prepare well for the IBSAT exam to improve your chances of scoring a good percentile.

IBSAT 2024 FAQS

Is IBSAT easy to crack?

Compared with CAT, XAT and other MBA exams, the IBSAT 2024 exam is as difficult as the other top MBA entrance exams mentioned. Scoring high on the IBSAT is comparatively easier. If you study regularly and systematically practice, scoring well on the test is easy.

Does IBS accept CAT scores?

IBS Hyderabad conducts the main entrance exam, IBSAT, for PGDM & MBA programs. IBS Hyderabad accepts valid GMAT, NMAT, and CAT scores for the admission process, so candidates also opt for these entrances. Students will be shortlisted based on the cutoff obtained at the entrances.

Which colleges accept IBSAT scores?

Other universities and MBA colleges also accept IBSAT scores for MBA admission. Some of the top MBA colleges accepting IBSAT scores include IBS Hyderabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Pune, Manav Rachna Faridabad, JKBS Gurgaon, GIBS Bangalore, VYASA Bangalore, among others.

Is the IBSAT exam hard?

It is relatively easier than other management exams like the CAT MAT or CMAT. There are a total of 140 questions divided into four sections. Each of these questions carries one mark. Since no negative scores is ranked, the IBSAT is relatively less challenging than an exam like the IIFT.

Is IBS best for an MBA?

Yes, IBS Hyderabad is among the finest colleges for pursuing an MBA. Any candidate who has finished the commerce stream in 10+2 must look forward to getting admissions over there as it also offers pretty handsome packages.

Which college is better, IBS or ISB?

ISB is ranked 1st in India, 4th in Asia, and 32nd in the World at Best B Schools. It’s a B School that competes with top B schools like IIM ABC, and here you are comparing it with a C grade B school in the country.
Almost anyone can get into IBS owing to the low qualifying scores needed and the high number of seats available. Getting into ISB is difficult, even with a GMAT score as high as the 99 percentile. ISB has the best corporate relations team in India and works hard to get the roles you want in the corporate sector.

Is IBS better than IIM?
