The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) is held every year for eligible applicants. The official authorities who will be organizing the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) will conduct it as a competition for all the high school students. 

The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) is one of the International Science Olympiads which happens annually. The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) competition will include two exams namely theoretical and practical. The applicants will have to clear both levels.

ICHO 2023 Registration Process

The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 registration will be a simple 3 step process for the selected applicants. We have tried to mention a few details about the same for the applicants.

• Country registration 
  • The deadline for the country registration is the 1st of March and the registration should be done by that time or the team will be disqualified for the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023.

• Applicant’s registration 
  • The information related to all the applicants should be submitted.
  • The deadline for the applicant’s registration will be the 15th of May (adults) and the 1st of June for applicants).
  • All the information related to the food, accommodation, health should be submitted
  • The participation fee should also be submitted by the 1st of June.

• Travel information submission
  • All the information related to the travel of the team should be sent to the foundation for confirmation.

ICHO 2023 Instruction for Applicants

The applicants need to check on the below-given instructions related to the exams.

• The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 exams will be organized on the 25th of July and the registration should be completed 10 days in advance of the date.
• As the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 exams will be conducted in Istanbul the exams will be scheduled between 12 pm to 5 pm.
• The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 exam will be an offline exam which means that the applicants will have to be prepared with all the items required for the exam.
• The ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 answer sheets will be scanned by the responsible authorities at the exam center.

ICHO 2023 Selection Process

The applicants will have to clear four different levels to be selected for the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023. The applicants can refer to the below information to know more.

• Level 1: NSEC – National Standard Examination in Chemistry,
• Level 2: INCO – Indian National Chemistry Olympiad
• Level 3: OSC – Orientation cum Selection Camp.
• Level 4: PDT – Pre-departure Training Camp.
• Level 5: IChO – International Chemistry Olympiad.

Important Note: The NSEC – National Standard Examination in Chemistry will be organized by the IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) and all the other levels will be organized by the HBCSE.

ICHO 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicant needs to check for the eligibility criteria before applying for anything the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 will be a selection that will be done from the previous stages so there is nothing much to explain about the same.

• Age: The applicants should not be more than 20 years of age at the time of the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 exams.
• Group: The group should consist of 4 students, 2 leaders (teachers), and 1 observer (Scientific).

ICHO 2023 Exam Pattern

• Duration: The applicants will get complete five hours in total to write both the ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 exam papers.
• Parts: 90-.o ICHO (International Chemistry Olympiad) 2023 exam will be conducted in two parts as below.
  • Theoretical exam – 60 marks
  • Practical exam – 40 marks
