For Mr. Des in the Craft and Design Program: Applicants must have a recognized degree or diploma in architecture/design, fashion, fine arts and domestic sciences in textiles and clothing; or
The candidate must be a professional child/ward of 5 years of direct work experience in traditional hereditary craftsmanship after successfully completing the upper secondary school exam; or
Graduates in any discipline with the aptitude for crafts, fashion or design.

For foreigners and NRI Applicants: International applicants / NRI applicants requesting admission to the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design must have the required qualifications/certificates of education similar or correspond to what is needed for Indian applicants.

The admission of foreign applicants/NRIs in various UG/PG/IICD certification programs are based on certain guidelines.
