IIM Ahmedabad is the uppermost B-School in India. The IIM Ahmedabad cutoff must be high, but the institute has reduced its CAT cutoff for the admission procedure in the previous few years.

The cutoff meant for CAT was over 90 percentiles throughout the academic year 2020. Afterward, it was diminished to 80 percentiles indicated for General contenders for the academic year 2023-24.

The institute has announced the CAT cutoff for the academic year 2023, and there has been no alteration in the same.

For the General category contenders, the sectional cutoff for the Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section is higher than that of the other two parts. Nevertheless, the sectional cutoff for the other group contenders is the same for all three segments. The CAT Cutoff has been reduced from that of CAT 2015 regarding regional and complete. As per data of the year 2016, the category-wise cutoffs for 2017 has lessened radically for the NC-OBC-cum transgender category. There has been a marginal decrease for the SC and PWD/DA group where the sectional and overall cutoffs have decreased by five and 10 points correspondingly.  The ST category cutoffs have continued the same.

CAT’s exam design was diverse in 2015 with two sections, explicitly Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. In contrast to the year 2016, the overall cutoff for the ST category was slighter by 10 points in 2015. Five points in each group have also altered the sectional cutoffs.
