IISc Admission 2025 Application Form will be released in 1st week of February 203 for PG Courses. The UG Application Form will be released in 3rd week of March 2025. IISC, the Indian Institute of Science Commences, is an admission exam for various courses. It is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.  This exam is conducted for courses like UG, PG, and PG research in Science, Engineering, Designing, and Management.

The level exam is National level. The mode of conduction of this examination is Online. For admission into the UG courses, the applying candidates must have qualified for one National level exam. For admission into the PG course, the applying candidates have to qualify for the GATE/CEED/CAT or GMAT exam.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISC) is set to release its application form for the academic year 2025, catering to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. • Step 2: Registration – Click on the “New user to register click here” link to initiate the registration process. Provide necessary details such as name, date of birth, and email address.
• Step 3: Application Form – Fill out the application form with accurate information including address, qualifications, category, and contact details.
• Step 4: Document Upload – Upload required documents, such as a photograph and signature, ensuring they meet the specified size and format.
• Step 5: Payment of Application Fee – Submit the application fee securely through the online mode.
• Step 6: Submission – After completing the form and payment, apply.
• Step 7: Download Confirmation – Download the application form from the website for your records.

IISC 2025 Application Form Correction

Candidates will have to fill out their application forms for IISC 2025 very carefully. You will have to avoid any mistakes as there will be no facility for application form correction once you have submitted the application form on the official website.

The official authorities have not released any instructions to open a correction window for application forms for IISC 2025. So all the candidates should be on their toes and be very attentive while filling out their application forms.

IISC 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are the restrictions that are set by the exam conducting authorities for the candidates who would be applying for the exam or the admissions. All the candidates who fit the eligibility criteria can easily apply on the official website and those who are not cannot apply as their application forms would be cancelled.

Nationality

The candidate should be an Indian citizen who is a foreign national and has a foreign passport and can also apply.

Marks Required

For UG Courses:

• Qualifications: Applicants should have passed their class 12th or its equivalent from any recognized board.
• Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in their qualifying exam to be eligible.
• Subjects: Eligibility requires candidates to have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
• Scorecard: Applicants must possess any one of the scorecards, such as JEE Main, NEET UG, JEE Advanced, or IISER, as of 1st August 2025.
• Appearing: Students currently in class 12th are also eligible to apply.

For PG Courses:

• Qualification: Eligible candidates must hold a degree in engineering/technology or have completed 4 years of B.Sc.
• Applicants with an MS/MBA degree are also eligible.
• Candidates with master’s degrees in economics, geography, psychology, commerce, management, operation research, computer science/application, or science fields are eligible.
• Students with degrees such as MBBS/MD, B.Pharm, or B.E/B. Tech is also eligible.
• Scorecard: Applicants must have qualified in at least one of the exams: GATE, NET, NET JRF, or GPAT by 1st August 2025.

IISC 2025 Cut-Off

In 2025, the IISC will establish separate cut-off marks for candidates belonging to different categories. These cut-off marks will be accessible via online mode and will represent the minimum scores required for eligibility in the admission process.

Based on these cut-off marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the admission procedure. Securing the cut-off marks will be mandatory for candidates to proceed to the Personal Interview (PI) round.

The authority will publish distinct cut-off marks for various entrance exams including JEE Main, NEET, JEE Advanced, and IISER, ensuring transparency and fairness in the admission process.

IISC 2025 Rank List

The merit list for IISC 2025 will be announced after the application process and the submission of marks for the National level exam. It will be based on candidates’ performance in the National level exam.

All the applying candidates have to qualify for any of the national-level exams like KVPY. JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, CAT, CEED, JRF, JMCR, and JEST. For the M.Des and M.tech courses, the candidates would have to qualify for the aptitude test after they are shortlisted on the merit list based on their GATE  exam scores.

IISC 2025 Admission Procedure 

The IISC admission process for 2025 will encompass multiple rounds, including interviews, document verification, and reporting. Selection for admission will be based on the cut-off marks set by the authority. Shortlisted candidates will be required to download their call letters through online mode from the official website. This streamlined process ensures transparency and facilitates seamless communication between the institution and the candidates.

Candidates will be allocated seats based on their performance in the entrance exam, the availability of seats in the respective programs, the total number of applicants, and the completion of the document verification process. The authority will finalize seat confirmations for students only after completing the document verification process. Applicants must report to the designated department with all the required documents as part of this verification process. This ensures transparency and accuracy in the allocation of seats to deserving candidates.

Selection Procedure for IISC 2025

• Admissions into certain M.Tech programs will be offered based on GATE score and for some others. The GATE-qualified candidates will have to clear an aptitude test and an interview for this course.
• For the M.Mgt course, the selection process will be based on valid GATE/ CAT/GMAT scores followed by a group discussion and interview round.
• For research programs, the shortlisting of the candidates will be done based either on their performance in national tests or on their performance in the qualifying examination. The final selection will be based on the performance in an interview round or a written test + interview (depending on the department).
• Admissions into Integrated PhD programs will be offered based on candidates’ performance in JAM/ JEST. Interviews might also be conducted for some disciplines.
• For the M.Des course, selection will be done based on a valid GATE/ CEED score followed by a Design Aptitude Test and an interview round.
• The selection of the candidates for admission into the undergraduate courses will be done based on their performance in any of these – KVPY, IIT JEE (Main)/ IIT JEE (Advanced) or NEET (as per the applicability).
