IISc AdmissionIISc Admission 2021 Online Interview has been Started now. IISC 2021 Candidates Shortlist will be released for UG courses will be organized through offline mode (For JEE Main, JEE Advanced & NEET). These courses are offered at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The procedure for admission to IISc for UG courses will begin from June/July 2021 by national-level examinations.

IISc offers admission once a year. Students wishing to be admitted to various IISc courses must meet all eligibility requirements established by the institution. Through this article, students can get detailed information on the IISc 2021 and IISc counseling admissions, including schedule and procedure.

The IISC Bangalore has released the application form for those candidates who wish to get admission into the IISC Institute of Bangalore. This Institute does not conduct any separate entrance examinations. IISC institute offers various courses to eligible candidates, like UG, PG, Research, Ph.D.

IISC 2021 Admission

Candidates who attended the national level examination like the JEE exam, NEET, KVPY, JAM, CEED, GATE, etc. are also eligible for admission in Bangalore. The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC) has announced the availability of the online application forms for the M.Tech/M. E Admissions, to the eligible candidates.

The candidates who are applied for the examination must have valid GATE scores. According to the Institute of Bangalore candidates who have scored the second class in their qualifying examination will also be considered for admissions, in IISC Bangalore.


  • Those who have attended the first and second counseling not eligible for this round.
  • Please note that participation in the counseling session is mandatory for confirming your seat in the Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme.
  • Those who were eligible for the first/second counseling and chose not to attend the counseling are not eligible for the third counseling.
  • Candidates should produce a copy of the email and JEE-(MAIN/ADVANCED)/NEET-UG results.
  • Students who have secured ranks outside this range will not be allowed for the counseling

IISc Admission Procedure 2021

Admission to IISc will be based on the Merit List of the Qualifying Examination. Merit will be prepared based on national entrance examinations. IISc offers admission to the Bachelor of Science (Research), M.Tech / M.Sc./M.Mgt, Ph.D / M Tech (Research) and Ph.D (Integrated) courses. IISc UG Admission 2021

IISC admission 2021 Cut Off has been released now.IISc provides admission to UG courses based on entrance exams throughout the country such as KVPY SA, SB, SX; JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and NEET. To register for the IISc, students must submit any of the entrance exams at the national level.

The authority will publish cut markings by category for all examinations separately. Counseling for UG (JEE Senior) courses will be held for candidates in August 2021. Tips for UG courses (JEE Advanced / NEET-UG) will be held from August 2021. it will take place in offline mode in the “UG Administrative Building” on the IISc campus.

It is mandatory that applicants participate in the consultation process to confirm their place in the Bachelor of Science (Research) program.

If the candidates are selected, they are required to complete the admission formalities, including payment of admission fees on the same day, and start taking courses immediately. The seats will be filled according to the range and availability of the seat. At the time of counseling, applicants must submit their letter of offer. For KVPY applicants, they must also submit their provisional grant letter.

Cut-Off Marks 2021

The cutoff marks for shortlisted candidates will differ according to their categories and the national exam. Here we have updated last year’s trim marks in the KVPY-SA, KVPY-SX, JEE-Main, IIT-JEE-Advanced, and NEET-UG transmissions:

IISc PG Admissions 2021

Admission to IISc PG will open for the M.Tech / M.W./M.Mgt, Ph.D./ M.Sc (Engg.) And Ph.D. (Integrated) programs. Applicants must first complete a mandatory application form. 

Admission to M.Tech/M.Des/M.Mgt Programmes:

The selection in the M.Tech program will be based on valid GATE scores 2019/2020/2021. Admissions in M.Tech disciplines such as climate science, computer science, earth sciences, electronic systems, electrical engineering will be done based on the GATE score, aptitude test, and an interview. 

For M.Tech (Communication and Networks and Nano Science and Engineering), the selection will be based on the only interview. Applicants will be selected for the M. Des program based on the GATE / CEED score followed by a design aptitude test and an interview. For admission to M.Mgt, students must have GATE / CAT / GMAT scores. The selection will be followed by a group discussion and an interview.

The list of shortlisted candidates for the aptitude test/group discussion and interview series will be posted on the candidate interface on the official website under the application status link. Selected candidates will take a hard copy of the interview letter from the candidate’s start date. No communication will be made by mail. Candidates admitted to M.Tech and M.Des courses must inform the institution to complete admission procedures.

Admission to Ph. D. Programmes:

Admission to disciplines such as chemistry, physical sciences, and mathematics will be based on JAM 2021 results followed by an interview. Admissions to the Ph.D. program (Biological Sciences sequence) will be based on JAM scores only. Candidates with valid 2021 JEST scores are eligible for admission into the physical sciences stream. The selection will be based on JEST 2021 and an interview.

Note: Candidates listed in JAM 2021 Biological Sciences and Biotechnology do not need to complete the IISc application form. The selection will be made only with JAM.
