Indian Institute of Technology Goa is an autonomous premier engineering and technology university located directly in Goa. New in the Indian Institute of Technology at Goa started functioning in July 2016 on a temporary campus accommodated in the Goa Engineering College Campus that is located in Farmagudi, Goa.

Indian Institute of Technology Goa is widely known as IIT Goa, is a government engineering institution and it was founded in the year 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under the Indian Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011. The purpose was to provide the students of Goa and surrounding states with high-quality technical education and proficiency set.

The campus is located at Farmagudi, Ponda approximately 29 km southeast of Panaji, the capital of Goa and it is a temporary campus. At the moment, IIT Goa has been temporarily housed and are operating in the Goa Engineering College (GEC) Campus located at Farmagudi.

IIT Goa 2024 Application Form

IIT Goa Admission 2024 Application Form will be Released for Various Courses. Applications for admission can be filled out online, candidates need to fill out the form correctly, plugin necessary documents, and pay INR 1000 will successfully apply in the University.

Pay the application fee The Candidate has to pay the prescribed fee, the details of which are given below. Payment mode should be online through net banking, debit/credit cards or over the cash deposit (e-challan) payable at State Bank of India branches only.

Print confirmation page: after the payment and details have been tabled, candidates should download the verification page and save the same.

IIT Goa 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• IIT Goa provides you with a 4-year, full-time B.Tech course as an undergraduate program.
• The institute is offering a B.Tech in three majors: computer science engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering with an intake of 30 students in each specialism.
• The students who are looking for admission to the B.tech program must have passed 10+2 with PCM as a compulsory subject from an accredited board.

IIT Goa 2024 Cutoff

The IIT Goa Cutoff is the minimum mark prescribed by the selection board for the admission of students. The merit list will be developed on these Cutoff scores. Aspirants who apply for the Institute need to be able to clear the Cutoff for the various courses.

Placement

This Institute is a newly established Engineering college through the HRD Govt. India. The first contingent of this Institution commenced in 2016. Therefore, there is no relevant data about the IIT Goa placement

Fee Waivers

• The college is offering a 100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH etc students.
• One may also have a full remission of the Tuition Fee (General & OBC) if their family income is any less than Rs.1 lakh/ annum and 2/3rd of Tuition fees in case the annual income of their family is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh.

IIT Goa 2024 Admissions Process

For admission at B.tech, a candidate is required to have a valid score in the Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced). Students have to reach the smallest JEE Advanced Cut-off. After the credit for the score and advice session, the students were selected for the undergraduate program. Admissions are operated through a centralized admission process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

It is a two-part process. One needs to qualify for the JEE Mains exam and then take the JEE Advanced exam. One must have ensured at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class XII OR One must be inside the class-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective Class XII board examination. Admissions are performed based on rank in JEE Advanced through JoSAA Counselling.
