J&K Diploma Polytechnic Entrance Test (PET) is the state-level polytechnic entrance examination, which the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination regulates. Every year, This examination is conducted for applicants to offer them admission in a three-year Diploma in Polytechnic Courses.

Admission will be provided to candidates in various government and private polytechnic colleges of Jammu and Kashmir based on their marks in the J&K Polytechnic PET Examination 2024.

J&K Polytechnic Exam Pattern

The J&K Polytechnic Entrance Test (PET) 2024 exam pattern will be decided through the Board in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only for the students.

Those applicants who have applied for this examination must prefer the exam pattern for better preparation. 

Students will be able to know the structure of the question papers with the help of exam patterns.

• Exam Mode: J&K PET 2024 will be held in Offline (Pen and Paper) mode.
• Type and Number of Questions: The paper will contain 180 multiple-choice questions.
• Medium Language: The language medium of the question paper will be English only.
• Time Duration: The duration provided to complete the paper will be 3 hours.
• Subjects: The questions in the exam will be from English, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics subjects.

J&K Polytechnic Marking Scheme

The J&K Polytechnic Entrance Test marking scheme is mentioned below for the candidates.

• The question paper of J&K PET 2024 will be of a total of 180 marks.
• Each question will be one mark.
• For each incorrect response, 0.2 marks will be deducted.
• To qualify for the entrance test and get admission successfully, a candidate must have scored at least ten marks or the minimum marks fixed by the Board.
