  • Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Minimum marks required

  • 45% for Open Merit Category candidates, Children of Defence Personnel, Children of Para-Military Forces, Children of Police Personnel, Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) of UT of J&K/Ladakh, and candidates with outstanding proficiency in Sports.
  • 40% for reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (PSP/IB/RBA/ALC/OSC).

Candidates Appearing in 10+2 Exam 2024

  • Candidates appearing/appearing in the 10+2 (12th Class) annual examination 2024 can also apply.
  • Qualification as per eligibility conditions must be met at the time of entrance test result/admission or as notified by the Board.

Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Category

  • No upper age bar for appearing in the Entrance Test for admission to Engineering Courses, both in Government and Private Colleges.

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
  • Registered as R.N.R.M. with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council.
  • Male Nurses trained before the integrated course implementation should provide evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council in a specific area.
  • Specialized areas include O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, T.B. Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, Orthopedic Nursing.

Medical Fitness

  • Candidates must be medically fit for admission.

  • Maximum age limit: Not more than 35 years old as of 01-01-2024.
  • Educational qualifications: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) and English.
  • Medical fitness is required.

For GNM Course

  • Domicile requirement: UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh domicile or ST certificate for Ladakh candidates.
  • Age limit: 17 to 35 years old as of 31-12-2024.
  • Educational qualifications: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% marks for Open Merit Candidates and 35% for Reserved Category candidates.

  •  Candidates must possess a Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh.
  • ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh will be considered a Domicile certificate.

Academic Qualifications

  •    Minimum 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
  • Equivalent qualifications are also eligible.
  • Reserved categories (SC/ST/OSC/RBA/ALC/IB/PSP) have a 5% relaxation in marks.

Qualifying Examination

  • Candidates appearing/appeared in the qualifying examination can also apply.
  • However, they must have passed the qualifying examination and obtained the required percentage of marks at the time of admission to the B.Ed. Course.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission 10th Based Para Medical Courses

Domicile Requirement

  •  Candidates must be a Domicile of UT of J&K or Ladakh.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Passed the Secondary School Examination (Matriculation or equivalent) from a recognized statutory Board.
  • Valid category certificate, if applicable.

Qualifying Examination: 

  • Candidates appearing/appeared in the 10+2 (12th Class) examination in 2024 can also apply.
  • However, such candidates must qualify for the 10th class examination either at the time of the Entrance Test result declaration or at the date of counselling as notified by the Board.

JKBOPEE Exam Pattern 2024

  • Each correct answer carries one mark.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • The question paper is objective type and is stapled together in one cover.

Question Booklet Instructions

  • Candidates are advised to carefully check the Question Booklet before answering any question.
  • If a Question Booklet has any missing page, blank page, missed question, or damaged/defaced page, the candidate should inform the invigilator and get it replaced with a new Booklet of the same series.
  • The Question Booklet must have a total of 180 questions.
  • Complaints regarding missing or damaged pages will not be entertained after the conclusion of the examination.
  • Candidates should not make any markings on the Question Booklet.
  • A rough workspace is provided within the Question Booklet for calculations.

  • Each Question Booklet has four series labelled as A, B, C, and D.
  • Candidates can take their Question Booklets with them at the end of the Entrance Test.
