The eligibility criteria are the most important thing to get admission to aspiring programs. The details of the eligibility criteria required for getting admission to the Karnataka Polytechnic colleges are given below:

• Applying students must belong to Indian Citizenship.
• The candidates should have done 5 years of academic study in Karnataka including the qualifying examination.
• Students should be qualified in SSLC or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% is required.
• Those wanting to complete their Diploma in Library Science and Information Management should be qualified in Karnataka PUC-II or equivalent examination by securing 35% marks in aggregate.
• Only the qualified candidates in the class 10th Exam conducted by CBSE/ ICSE will have to produce Eligibility Certificates obtained from the Secretary, Board of Technical Examinations, at the time of document verification and online application submission process.
• Those applicants are wishing to get admission in part-time diploma courses should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the respective technical field after passing SSLC as of 01-07-2023 and must also obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

The Application Form for all courses will be started from the 4th week of May 2023 through the authority and those students are wishing to complete their aspiring diploma and polytechnic programs, can fill out the application form through online mode from the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka.

Students must have to fill in all of the correct and complete details in the application form. Before the last date of submission, candidates should have submitted it.

The Application fee for Karnataka-DTE is as follows:

• For UR candidates- Rs 100/-
• For SC, ST, and Cat-I candidates- Rs 50/-
