KCET Eligibility 2023

The authority has determined some eligibility criteria for the candidates; those are aspiring to complete their aspiring programs.

Those applicants will be eligible to get admission only they will be able to fill the application form of KCET through online mode.

Candidates must have to check their eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria details are mentioned below.

For Medical and Dental

The eligibility conditions for candidates seeking admissions to medical and dental courses are:

• We should obtain and get a valid score in NEET UG 2023.
• Must have passed a 12^th class exam or second-year pre-university or equivalent
• Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study
• Obtained an aggregate minimum score of 50 % in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
• Has secured no less than 50% combined together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
• In the case of SC, ST, Category-I, and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B), a minimum score of 40%
• Medical/Dental risk will be prepared on the basis of the performance of candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying exam and Common Entrance Test.

For Medicine and Homeopathy

To be eligible for admission in courses such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy/Yoga, the candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study
• Obtained an aggregate minimum score of 50 % in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
• In case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B), a minimum score of 40%
• A separate ISM&H rank list will be published and prepared for admission in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani and Naturopathy/Yoga courses on the basis of performance of a candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in both qualifying examination and Common Entrance Test.

B.Sc. Courses

Bachelor of the fishery and Other Courses

The candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria are eligible for KCET 2023:

• Passed the 12th class exam or second-year pre-university or equivalent
• Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects
• The common rank list will be prepared and published on the basis of the performance of candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying exams and Common Entrance Test.

Animal Husbandry, B. V. Sc.

For admissions in

• Must have obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as optional subjects.
• V.Sc & A.H. rank list will be prepared and published on the basis of performance of candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the Common Entrance Test.

B.Pharma

A candidate must meet the following criteria for being eligible to appear in KCET 2023:

• Must have passed the 2nd PUC or 12th class exam.
• Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• An aggregate minimum score of 45% in the 2nd PUC or 12th class exam is required for candidates from the general category and 40% for SC, ST, Category-I, and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B).
• An aggregate minimum score of 45% in diploma in pharmacy examination is required for candidates from the general category and 40% for SC, ST, Category-I, and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B).
• The merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics whichever of the two is higher in the Common Entrance Test 2023. A separate common rank list is prepared for admissions to B-Pharma.

Pharma D

• For admission in pharmacy course, the candidates must meet the following conditions:
• Should pass 2nd PUC or 12th class exam
• Must have compulsory subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or pass a diploma in pharmacy examination.
• The candidates with Diploma in Pharmacy course must submit their photocopy of the D-Pharma mark sheet on or before May 20, 2023, to KEA. In case of failing to do the same, the candidate will not be assigned rank.
• For the candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course and are seeking admission to 2nd year B. Pharma (lateral entry), it is required to submit their photocopy of the D-Pharma final year mark sheet on or before May 2023, to KEA. In case of failing to do the same, the candidate will not be assigned rank.

Engineering

• Must have passed the 12th class exam or second-year pre-university or equivalent
• Must have compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study
• For Engineering/Technology courses, an aggregate minimum of 45% marks for general category and 40% for in optional subjects in the qualifying examination is required.
• In the case of marks obtained in Chemistry being less than required for aggregate percentage, the marks obtained in Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science in qualifying examination will be considered instead of Chemistry.
• However, the above shall apply only for the determination of eligibility and not for rank determination for Engineering/Technology courses.
• The engineering rank list will be prepared and published on the basis of the performance of candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in both qualifying examination and the Common Entrance Test.
