A strictly residential institution of higher education following the gurukulam style of schooling Kalamandalam provides training courses in performing arts VIII – X – Arts High School (3 Year), XI-XII Plus Two (2 Year), Degree Courses (3 Year), and The Post Graduate Courses (2 Year). This university also offers an integrated M.Phil Ph.D. and direct Ph.D. programs of study. Kalamandalam is also renowned for its special training programs in performing arts who it is widely preferred by both national and international students.

• PG courses – 2 year MA in Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Mohiniyattom, Mridangam, Chenda, and Karnatic Vocals.
• Doctoral studies – M.Phil& PhD

Kerala Kalamandalam 2024 Result

Kerala Kalamandalam is a deemed university and is offering courses in Art & Culture viz. UG/ PG/ Research/ Diploma courses. The university follows the semester-based academic session. Academic years of the university begins in the month of July and finishes in the month of June. It has two semesters in every academic year, the first semester is the Odd semester and the second semester is the even semester.

The Odd semester starts in the month of August and finishes in the month of December, during a time when even semester starts in the month of January and ends up in the month of June. The examination is carried out by the university in the month of November-December (Odd Semester), on the month of April-May (Even Semester).

All the students who have appeared on Re-appearance examination may be able to get their Result online on the website of the University. The re-appearance examination is being carried out by the university during each semester and students must request this examination by filling the re-appearance examination form.

Kerala Kalamandalam 2024 Admission Procedure

The admission procedure takes place after the declaration of result at the specified center. Candidates who have been qualified will be required to participate in the admission events with all necessary documentation at the correct time. Kerala Kalamandalamis a follow-up to gurukul-sampradaya (where all students will be residents on campus during training).

The university offers Arts-related schooling (equivalent to high school & plus two), UG, PG, as well as Ph.D. courses in various art-forms including the artforms Kathakali, Kathakali Sangeetham, Chutti&Vesham, Koodiyattom, Thullal, Mohiniyattom, Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi; Karnatic Classical Music vocals; Instruments like Chenda, Mizhavu, Thimila, Maddalam, etc.

Kalamandalam also offers special training programs (open to foreigners as well) in various performing art forms (Karnatic Classical Music, Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Chenda, Maddalam, Mizhav), to which admissions are settled on account of the contender’s aptitude in the course he/she wants to study (A board or board will test it).

Admission would be based on the aptitude test combined with an interview conducted by Kerala Kalamandalam. The stipend will be given to eligible candidates depending on their family income. Ph.D./ M.Phil admissions will be granted to those who have a PG degree, based on an entrance test performed by the University on its own. On The Other Hand, NET/JRF holders, teachers from Govt. and Aided colleges in art-forms, M.Philthe owners from an accredited university with 2 published documents in fields associated with the art-shapes will be exempted from this entrance test.
