Admission Procedure

Those applicants are wishing to get admission in the various law programs from the various law colleges of Karnataka, they will be able to get admission based on their marks scored in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or admission will also be done through direct admission.

There are some of the universities conducting its own entrance examination to provide admission to the candidates.

Entrance Examinations

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) examination score will be accepted through all of the private and government law colleges of Karnataka.

The CLAT examination is conducted through National Law University on a rotation basis.

In May, the CLAT examination will be conducted.

Law Admission

Applicants will get admission in various law programs based on their eligibility criteria and the eligible candidates can fill the application form from the 1st week of January through online mode.

Till the last week of March, the application form will be available. Applicants should have the eligibility criteria such as

  • For UG Courses, students have to qualify for the 10+2 or equivalent examination & score at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of the SC/ST category).
  • For PG Courses, students have to complete the LLB or equivalent examination & obtain a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST category).
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT 2021.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be call out for the counseling procedure if they are shortlisted in the merit list based on their marks offered in state or national law entrance examinations.

Some of the candidates get direct admission based on their marks scored in the 12th examinations.

There are some of the colleges offering admission to the candidates based on first come first serve.
