Online applications will be requested by the University of North Bengal (NBU) for admission to two-year B.Ed courses for the academic session 2023-24. North Bengal University teaches professional/non-professional education, research, and training programs. The Faculty of Education of North Bengal University offers the 2-years years full-time B.Ed program.  Fresher applicants with 50% marks (General)/ 45% (SC/ST category) either in a bachelor’s or master’s level are eligible to apply for admission. Disputed candidates holding an MC/ GB permission are eligible for admission. Admission to eligible candidates will be awarded based on merit.

NBU B.Ed 2023 Application Form

On the official website Online, the Application Form will be available of the University of North Bengal at www.nbu.ac.in; following the release of official notification, they can fill the Application Form. Candidates are recommended to submit the duly filled in Application Forms online on its official website. Candidates who have a minimum of two years of teaching experience from a recognized Secondary School and the necessary qualifications will have to apply online. It is obligatory to attend the college uninterrupted for the first seven days; otherwise, Admission will be treated as Cancelled if he/she fails to accede to the college within 10 days from the date of commencement of the classes in the college.

• Candidates prepared to take the entrance in North Bengal University have to submit their Application Form by visiting an official website, i.e., you.ac.in
• Now go to the “Latest @ NBU” section.
• Click on the “Apply for B.Ed. Admission” link.
• Fill in all details in the Application Form.
• Upload scan images of passport size photo and signature
• Lastly, take a print out of the online submitted Application Form for further correspondence.

Application Fee

For applicants that belong to general and other categories: Rs 500/

For applicants that belong to the SC/ST Category: Rs 200/

NBU B.Ed 2023 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate with a minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidate) either in the ‘Bachelor’s Degree and or the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent
• From a recognized institute or university, applicants who have a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree or equivalent to qualification with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category) in India. The percentage of marks shall be calculated strictly based on the marks received in the subjects.
• For fresher candidate only: Applicant age not more than 35 years as of 30 June 2018.
• As per government order, the reservation of seats for a candidate must be strict.

• Committed candidates having experience of at the very least 2 years in govt., govt. Aided institutions are eligible for application; however, they must have to produce original MC/GB permission at counseling.

Age Limit:

• The age limit of applying candidates is calculated as of 01st July 2016;
• 35 years should be the maximum age limit

NBU B.Ed 2023 Admission

Only candidates that the merit list will be able to participate in counseling. Applicants can also check on Official Website for further details on Counselling. Before applying, they will have to submit an online counseling form, which will be available on the university website.

If you do not use the counseling process, they cannot take admission into the course. In order of merit, Counselling will be held. With higher rank, Candidates will be preferred for admission.

Selection of the candidates to the B.Ed. The program will be performed directly based on qualifying degree merit. The merit list will be published by a Notice from North Bengal University, and selected candidates will be called for counseling and document verification.

• Self Attested copy of the print out of the application.
• Bank Receipt/ Challan.
• All original documents in support of the claims made or information submitted in the application.
• C/ G B Permission (For Deputed candidates).
