NCHMCT JEE 2024 Application Correction has been Started on 9th April 2024. The Examination will be held on 11th May 2024. The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to the three-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hospitality and Hotel Administration (H&HA) courses are offered by the 78 participating Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) affiliated with the NCHMCT.

The NCHMCT JEE 2024 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode in English and Hindi. The exam will be of three hours duration. It will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from five subjects: Language Proficiency (English/Hindi), General Knowledge, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Food and Beverage Service.

The craze for the NCHMCT JEE is due to the growing popularity of the hospitality industry in India. The industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 10% over the next five years, creating many job opportunities. The NCHMCT JEE 2024 is a highly competitive exam, with over 1 lakh students appearing yearly. The cut-off for the exam is generally very high, and only the top few thousand candidates can secure a seat in the IHMs.

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Latest News and Updates

The Application Form’s last Date has been Extended till 7th April 2024. The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 is scheduled for 11th May 2024. The application form for the exam was released on 9th February 2024, and the last date to apply is 7th April 2024. The Application Correction will be Started on 2nd April 2024. The admit cards will be released in the first week of May 2024, and the exam will be held on 11th May 2024. The exam result will be declared in July 2024, and the counselling procedure will be held in July/August 2024.

The application fee is INR 1000 for general category candidates and INR 450 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The syllabus for the exam includes English Language, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Service Sector. The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the second will be from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The minimum qualifying marks for the exam are 40% for general category candidates and 35% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

What is NCHMCT JEE?

The NCHMCT JEE (National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hospitality and Hotel Administration (HHA) course is offered by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and its affiliated institutes. The institutes are accredited by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and offer high-quality education. The graduates are eligible to work in all leading hotels and restaurants in India and abroad. The course provides a strong foundation in the fundamentals of hospitality management and prepares students for a wide range of career options.

The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. NCHMCT will release the official NCHM JEE 2024 notification online at nchmjee.nta.nic.in. NCHMCT JEE 2024 Application Form will be released in the first week of February 2024. NCHMCT JEE 2024 Notification

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Notification has been Released on 9th February 2024. The National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. It is a gateway for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hospitality and Hotel Administration (HHA) course in India’s top government and private hotel management institutes. The exam aims to select eligible candidates capable of pursuing various hospitality and hotel administration courses offered by the institutes affiliated with the NCHMCT.

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Application Form

The NCHMCT JEE 2024 application form has been released on 9th February 2024. The online registrations for NCHMCT JEE 2024 will be conducted for about two months. The last date to submit the application form is 7th April 2024. The application form can be filled out online at the official website of the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in/.   • The NCHMCT JEE 2024 application form can only be submitted online. No other mode will be accepted. This means that candidates cannot submit the form by mail, fax, or in person. 
  • The application form was available online on 9th February 2024 on the official website, nchmjee.nta.nic.in. Candidates can submit the application forms till 7th April 2024.
  • Candidates must provide the following information in the application form which are name, date of birth, gender, nationality, permanent address, contact details (email address and phone number), educational qualifications, category (general, SC/ST/PwD)
  • Candidates are advised to carefully fill out the application form. They should double-check all of the information to make sure that it is accurate. Any errors in the form may delay or even disqualify the application.
  • Candidates must upload scanned copies of their passport-sized photograph and signature. The photograph must be a recent one and the signature must be in black and white. The documents must be in the prescribed format.
  • The application fee for the NCHMCT JEE 2024 is INR 1000 for general category candidates and INR 450 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The fee must be paid online through a credit/debit card or net banking. No offline mode is available or accepted.
  • Before submitting the application form, candidates should preview it to make sure that all the information is correct. They should also check that the scanned documents have been uploaded successfully.
  • After submitting the application form, candidates must retain a printed hard copy of the filled form. This hard copy will be required for future reference.

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Application Fees

The application fee is INR 1000 for general category candidates and INR 450 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The fee can be paid in Indian rupees only. The fee must be paid in full. Partial payments will not be accepted. The fee must be paid before the last date of submission of the application form. The application fee for the NCHMCT JEE 2024 will be submitted through online mode only. Candidates can submit the fee using the following methods:

  • Debit card: Candidates can use their debit card to pay the application fee. The debit card must be valid and have sufficient funds to cover the fee.

The application form will be non-refundable and non-transferable. This means the fee will only be refunded if the candidate cancels their application or is admitted. The application form will also not be transferable to another candidate.

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The qualifying examination must be a 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent. The English subject must be compulsory in the qualifying examination. A recognised secondary education board must issue the qualifying examination mark sheet. The medical certificate must be valid for one year from the issue date.   1. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  2. Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognised board of secondary education with English as a core/functional/elective subject.
  3. Age Limit: As per the New Education Policy, candidates have an upper age limit. The age limit is defined by category wise, check below:
  • Candidates from the General, General (EWS) and OBC categories must be born on or after July 1, 1998, to be eligible for the exam. The upper age limit for these categories is 25 years, as of July 1, 2024.
  • Candidates from the SC, ST categories and physically challenged candidates must be born on or after July 1, 1996, to be eligible for the exam. The upper age limit for these categories is 25 years, as of July 1, 2024.
  1. Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the 12th examination and awaiting their results can also appear for NCHMCT JEE 2024 on a provisional basis. However, they must produce the original mark sheet during counselling.
  2. Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit and have a medical certificate from a government hospital or a recognised medical practitioner.

Nationality 

To be eligible for the exam, candidates must be Indian Citizens.

Age Limit

As per the New Education Policy, there will be no age limit to apply for the exam.

Qualifying Examination

  • The qualifying examination must be a 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent.

NCHMCT JEE 2024 Exam Pattern

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the official NCHMCT JEE 2024 exam notification. Candidates need to know the exam pattern to prepare properly. There will be five sections in the NCHMCT JEE 2024 exam paper, namely English Language, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the service sector.   1. The NCHMCT JEE 2024 will be a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam will be held in two languages, English and Hindi. The exam will have five sections, each with a different weightage:
  • English Language: This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. There will be 60 questions in this section, each carrying two marks.
  • Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude: This section will test the candidate’s mathematical skills, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving. There will be 30 questions in this section, each carrying two marks.

  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of general knowledge, current affairs, and national and international events. There will be 30 questions in this section, each carrying two marks.
  • Aptitude for the Service Sector: This section will test the candidate’s aptitude for the service sector, including customer service, interpersonal skills, and teamwork. There will be 50 questions in this section, each carrying one mark.
  1. The total number of questions in the exam is 200, and the total marks are 400. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The exam will have negative marks, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
  2. The exam will be held in multiple sessions across the country. The exact dates and timings of the exam will be announced later. The admit card for the exam will be available on the NTA website a few weeks before the exam.
  3. The NTA will announce the results of the NCHMCT JEE 2024 a few weeks after the exam. The qualified candidates will be called for counselling and allotted seats in the participating institutes.
