NIT Puducherry Admission 2024 Application Form will be Released soon. National Institute of Technology, Puducherry is a stand-alone public engineering Institute situated directly in the union territory of Puducherry, Karaikal. It is one of the 31 National institutes of Technology of India and will be declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under NIT Act, 2007.

National Institute Of Technology (NIT), Puducherry founding in 2010, under the recognition from the University Grants Commission(UGC). The courses presented by the university is affiliated with AICTE, ensuring quality education in the field of technical studies. NIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degree level programs to the students. NIT Puducherry Admissions are based on merit obtained in the JEE Main examination.

National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (NIT PY), will be one of the ten newly formed NITs authorized by the Government of India in 2009. NIT Puducherry provides various UG, PG, and Ph.D. level programs in the areas of Engineering, Science & Humanities. The institute is now offering the 4 B. Tech courses, an M. Tech course, and Ph.D. courses in its Karaikal campus.

NIT Puducherry 2024 Application Form

NIT Puducherry Admission 2024 Application Form will be Released soon. Candidates applying in relation to any of the M. Tech and Ph.D. programs offered by NIT Puducherry must apply through the online application portal available on its official website.

M. Tech candidates can also be applied through CCMT (a centralized counseling process for M. Tech applicants).

A copy of all required documents must be presented along with the latest colored passport size photograph. A non-refundable application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST/PH) has to be paid through SBI Collect.

The candidates are required to send the following documentation (photocopies with the application form and prototype at the time of the interview) in order to verify the purpose:

• Current Photo-ID proof.
• Mark-sheets and certificates of all qualifications/degrees starting from class 10th or equivalent.
• Character Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution/Department last attended.
• OBC / SC / ST / PD certificate, if applicable.
• Proof of Date of Birth.
• GATE/NET qualification certificate as applicable.
• Appearing Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute for candidates appearing for the final examination of the qualifying degree.
• Reprint of research publications (1st page only).

NIT Puducherry 2024 Admissions Process

NIT Puducherry currently offering Ph.D. programs to all the eligible applicants in the 9 departments. The primary Eligibility criteria to be applied for admission is a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.

The selection of candidates for Ph.D. programs shall be subject to a written exam and interview. It is however compulsory for the candidate to qualify GATE / NET (LS or JRF) before you apply for Ph.D.

The institute is offering an M. Tech course in Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates applying for any of the M. Tech courses must be the owner B. Tech degree in Computer Science and with a minimum of 60% marks.

Candidates are selected on the basis of a written test and/or interview. Admission can also be pursued through CCMT, an all India level counseling.

Candidates who haven’t opted for CCMT can directly applicable by filling the application form online at the institute website. Payment of the prescribed application fee can be made through online mode. No off-row mode of application or fee payment is permissible.

B.Tech aspirants cannot apply straight through the institute’s website. It is mandatory for all UG nominees to appear for JEE Main and Advanced to be considered eligible for application/registration. They may request both on their respective official websites.

NIT Puducherry 2024 Reservation

Reservation is available as per norms prescribed by the federal government of India. The following table marks in the proportion of seats reserved category-wise:

Additionally, the institute reserves 5% of the total seats reserved for female candidates. Seats are likewise reserved for candidates.

NIT Puducherry 2024 Scholarships

University provides financial assistance for students under reserved for the category, based on merit. To claim scholarships students are required to clear their examination, carried out by the university.

Students enrolled under, graduate degree programs will be given INR 1000 per month during the first three years of college. The scholarships are being paid for 10 months of every year.

NIT Puducherry 2024 Placement

NIT has signed MOU’s with a host of notable organizations, offering training and job placement opportunities to the students.

The average package offered to the students is INR 4-5 lakhs, with INR 15 lakhs is the maximum package offered to any student, from the university.
