PTU M.Tech Admission 2024 Registration has been released on 22nd March 2024. PTU M.Tech 2024 Admission will be done through GATE 2024. The PTU (Punjab Technical University) is also known as I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU). It is a state university, which is situated in Jalandhar, India. This University provides Admission to candidates in the M.Tech program.

The I K. Gujral Punjab Technical University will announce the important dates of the M.Tech program, and those candidates wishing to get Admission must have to check it.

PTU M.Tech Application Form 2024

The PTU M.Tech Application Form will be available soon on the official website of I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, and those applicants who are interested and eligible to complete their M.Tech program from the various affiliated college of this University can fill the application form through online mode by following simple steps mentioned below.

• First, applicants should go on the official webpage of I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University.
• The applicants should have to submit their required details in the application forms such as Personal, Qualification, and other important details, etc.
• They should have to upload their scanned copy of the current photograph, and their signature should be uploaded as per the instructions available in the prospectus of the University.
• Candidates should have to pay the application fee online by using a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
• They have to submit the application form and take a printout for future use.

Application Fee

The PTU M.Tech Application Fee is Rs. 500 (for SC/ST candidates, Rs 250). The application fee can be paid online via a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.

PTU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check their eligibility criteria before filling out the application form and the details mentioned below.

• Percentage: The applicants must be qualified in B.E/B. Tech. With at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) marks in aggregate to get Admission in M.Tech course.
• Qualification: They should have to score qualified marks in the GATE examination. There are vacant seats left after the GATE Merit list is exhausted.
• Based on the performance of the candidates, Admission will provide to the candidates in the M.Tech course.

PTU M.Tech Merit List 2024

In July, the PTU M.Tech admission merit list will be published on the official website, and those applicants will be qualified in B.E/B. Tech. With at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks in aggregate.

They will be shortlisted in the merit list for Admission to the M.Tech course. By using the login credentials, applicants can check the merit list.

PTU M.Tech Cut Off

The Punjab Technical University will declare the cut-off on its official website, and the cut marks will depend on the number of criteria, i.e. Difficulty level of the exam, Number of candidates. Through online mode, the cut-off marks will be available, and applicants can check the previous year’s cut-off for the current session.

PTU M.Tech Counseling 2024

The I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University will conduct the two rounds of centralized counselling of PTU M.Tech. The counselling procedure is mentioned below.

• Candidates should have to register for counselling and fill in their choices in order of their preference.
• They will be called out for counselling sessions if they are shortlisted on the merit list.
• Non-GATE candidates will be considered for PTU M.Tech admission only if there will be any vacant seats left after allotting to GATE candidates.
• The applicants must report to the allotted college with the required documents for verification.

• Allotment letter issued by the University
• GATE scorecard (if applicable)
• Counselling fee deposit slip
• Two recent passport-size photographs
• Residence Certificate
• Detailed Marks Card of the qualifying examination
• Certificate of the passing of qualifying examinations, as applicable, from Punjab
• Matriculation Certificate containing Date of Birth (DoB)
• Certificate from the concerned University as proof of passing the qualifying examination
• Category Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)
• Gap Certificate (if applicable)
• Medical fitness certificate.
