• The application form will not be assigned after the month of August.

Application Fee

Significant information related to the Application Fee is provided below for the reference of the applicants:

• The application fee can be paid in the offline mode only by demand draft.
• Applicants are required to present a Demand draft of the application fee to the university in conjunction with the duly filled Application Form.
• Applicants have to submit a demand draft of the application fee before the closing date in order to avoid the refusal of the same.
• The application fee as soon as they are paid will not be reimbursed back to the account.
• Applicants have to pay Rs 165/- as an application fee if they pay for the application fee by post.
• Applicants belonging to the general category have to pay the Rs 150/- as application fee.
• Reserved category candidates are exempt from the payment of application fee.

TN DTE MCA LE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility for entry to the First Year MCA Degree Programme is provided below:

• Qualification: Candidates sustaining the eligibility rules as follows as on last date of submission of application are entitled to apply.
• Nationality: The candidates must be Indian.
• Age Limit: There is absolutely no age limit for admission to MCA Degree Programme.
• Mandatory subjects: Maths is the main subject.
• Percentage: Applicants must have guaranteed at least 50 percent marks (Open Category) as well as 45 percent (Reserved in the Categories) in the bachelor’s degree exam.
• Domicile: Tamil Nadu applicants who have studied and passed out in Tamil Nadu as noted below may apply. They are not required to enclose the Nativity Certificate.
• 10+2+3 years Degree: Candidates must have studied in Tamil Nadu from XI. onwards
• 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years Degree: Applicants must have studied Diploma and Degree. in Tamil Nadu
• Candidates should have been studied at Tamil Nadu from XII onwards.

For MCA Lateral Entry

One pass acknowledged bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 years model in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology/ Computer Science) with Mathematics. It should be as a course at 10 + 2 level or at the Graduate level and obtained at least 50% or 45% in case of applicants that belong to the reserved class in qualifying degree examination. 

• The Courses B.Sc. called Computer Technology, B.Sc. called Software Engineering, B.Sc. called Electronics and Computer Science, B.Sc. called Software Systems proposed by the Centre for Academic Courses of Anna University could also be considered.
• 10 + 2 + 3 years a role model.
• Awarded by the State Board of Technical Education.
• Applicants with the section A and B certificates and other equivalent certificates that is issued by professional organizations or societies (e.g. A.M.I.E) acknowledged by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India as well as enrolled with Institutions with a lasting recognition.

DOTE, Tamil Nadu will declaration in the Merit List of TN DTE MCA LE 2024 with caution in the month of July. 

TN DTE MCA LE 2024 Merit List will be produced on the marks received by applicants in class 10th or a reporter examination.

Average % of marks from the first half of year to N to 1 semester or years in the qualifying Degree examination n being the total no. of semesters or years in the qualification examination.

Average % of marks from the first semester or year to (N-n) semesters or years in the qualifying degree examination and n will vary for 2 to N-1 with a view to successive levels of tie-breaking and Applicants with higher % will be classified.
