West Bengal MBBS/BDS Admission 2024 Registration will be Started in 4th week of July 2024. The provisional Merit List will be released in 1st week of August 2024. West Bengal is an Indian state which is located in eastern India. The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kolkata, will organize the candidates’ West Bengal MBBS and BDS admission. As per the seat matrix in West Bengal state’s medical and dental colleges, the candidates in the MBBS and BDS programs will be granted admission.

The NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) UG-scored students will be able to get seats in the colleges of West Bengal. Interested and eligible candidates can fill out the application form online from the official website of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kolkata.

West Bengal MBBS/BDS Admission 2024

The West Bengal MBBS and BDS, admission application form has been available only for those who have applied for the NEET 2024 medical entrance examination and are eligible for 85% state quota seats; they can fill out the application form online.

The scorecard/ Marks of the NEET Examination are accepted all over West Bengal/India in All medical colleges and Universities. Admission into MBBS and BDS courses is provided by the NEET Scorecard all over West Bengal.

Before the last submission date, candidates must submit the application form. Candidates must pay the deposit fees of INR 3000 through a Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. The amount will be non-refundable.

Entrance Examinations for Medical

The entrance examination for admission into MBBS and BDS is NEET. This is the only examination the NTA provides for admission into Medical courses. For Admission into PG courses, NEET PG is conducted.

Some other entrance exams are also organized for offering medical courses like AIIMS and PGIMER. No state-level and university-level exams are conducted for admission to medical courses.

The following eligibility criteria for West Bengal MBBS and BDS admission are mentioned below for candidates, and they have to check them.

• Candidates should be a citizen of India & OCI.
• The candidates’ age should not be less than 17 years and should not be more than 25 years.
• 5 Year Extension is allowed for the Reserve categories.
• The candidate should have qualified marks in NEET UG to be eligible for West Bengal MBBS 2024 admission.
• The candidate should have residence proof of West Bengal State to get admission here.
• The candidate should be qualified in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually in the Class 12 final examination to be eligible for West Bengal MBBS admission 2024.
• The candidate is also required to score in Class 12 or equivalent examination, 50% marks or above taken together Physics, Chemistry, and Biology under UR category; 45% marks or above under PH category; 40% marks or above in SC/ST/OBC A or OBC B category.

Selection Procedure/Counseling 2024

Candidates must pass the NEET Entrance examination to get admission into MBBS/BDS courses in West Bengal. After the NEET examination, the result will be announced, and the candidate’s secured Rank will be declared.

• The candidates will be allowed for the counselling round according to the marks secured in the NEET examination.
• Candidates will be allowed to choose the institutions/Colleges in the counselling process, and the college will be allotted by the Rank secured in the NEET examination.
• All the seats will be allocated to the respective candidates only after the verification of the documents.
• As per the Rank obtained, options filled, and seat availability, the seats will be allotted to the candidates.
• After the seat is allowed, the student can reach the respective college/Institution to complete the admission formalities.

The West Bengal MBBS/BDS Counseling Procedure will be started in 4th week of July 2024, and it will be conducted online mode.
