IIT Jammu Admission 2024 Application Form has been Released for Various Courses. Candidates may submit an application online for the UG courses through JEE Main.

Candidates applying for any of the B. Tech. programs offered through IIT Jammu are required to ensure fulfillment of basic eligibility criteria regarding the percentile of marks obtained in the last qualification exam, prior to filling out the Application Form.

Candidates cannot apply directly through the institute’s website. They should first apply for JEE Main and afterward for JEE Advanced in order to get admission in the institute.

IIT Jammu 2024 Admissions Process

The institute offers B.Tech courses in 3 areas, viz., Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). The minimum eligibility to request B.Tech is75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in 10+2 or protected top 20 percentile in 10+2 undertaken by the respective board. Selection is done on the basis of performance in the qualification exam (10+2) and JEE Main. JEE Main is a two-tier examination performed by the CBSE Board. The admission to IIT Jammu, the merit/rank list will be drawn up based on preference to 10+2 marks and JEE Main rank.

The ultimate selection of candidates will be made depending on their academic merit, counseling & performance in the personal interview round. A valid JEE Main score is mandatory for admission in B.Tech.Eventual admission is based on the JEE Main merit, counseling, and interview. Admission To UG Programs In IIT Jammu is being offered Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced) qualifiers.

IIT Jammu B.Tech aspirants will have to apply through JEE Advanced registration, just a JEE Main qualifiers can apply. Students encountering a minimum of JEE-Advanced cut-off would be eligible for further counseling sessions. Admission To PG & Ph.D. Programs In IIT Jammu is being offered through Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE) or National Eligibility Test (NET) inherited from the Personal Interview.

Scholarships

• The Ph.D. student’s stipend/scholarships are awarded the MHRD guidelines. For now, the following applies:
• The students ‘ stipend during the first two years of Degree is Rs 31,000 per month.
• The students ‘ benefit in the senior Ph.D. fellows is Rs 35,000 in a month.
• As part of this process, any UG/ PG student will have to put specified hours of academic work pursuant to a supervisor. Just upon submission of a certificate, signed by the allocated supervisor.
