  • Candidates should have completed a Master’s Degree program with a minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) as specified in Table 2 from any recognized University in India or abroad.
  • Applicants whose recognition has been withdrawn by VCI/UGC/ICAR or who have been derecognised due to court directives are not eligible.
  • General, OBC (NCL), and UPS/EWS candidates should have a minimum score of 60%, while SC/ST/PwD candidates must have a minimum score of 50%.

Academic Qualification:

  • Eligible candidates include those who have completed or are in the final examination of a Bachelor’s degree in the respective field under the 10+2+5, 10+2+4, or 10+2+3 systems.
  • For the General, OBC, and UPS categories, candidates must have obtained 60% marks or an OGPA of 6.60/10.00, 3.25/5.00, or 2.6/4.00. For SC/ST and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, a minimum of 55% marks or an OGPA of 5.5/10.00, 2.75/5.00, or 2.20/4.00 is required.
  • Candidates seeking admission to M.V.Sc. (Veterinary Sciences) must have completed B.V.Sc. and A.H. with an internship before the registration date at the University.

Age Limit:

  • The minimum age limit is 19 years as of the examination date. No age relaxation is allowed regarding the minimum age limit.

ICAR SRF Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Qualification:

  • Candidates should have completed their Master’s degree program with a minimum of 55% marks or an OGPA of 5.5/10.00, 2.75/5.00, or 2.20/4.00, or an equivalent OGPA from any recognised University in India or abroad. A 5% relaxation is provided for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates.
  • Applicants appearing in the final semester are also eligible, provided they obtain their postgraduate degree in all respects by the examination date and present the complete degree certificate from the Registrar.
  • The fellowship is granted when the candidate is admitted to pursue a PhD degree in an Agricultural University (AU) different from the one where they completed their previous degree.

Age Limit:

  • The upper age limit is 30 years as of the examination date, with a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST and PH categories and a 3-year relaxation for OBC candidates. In-service candidates of 2 Agricultural Universities (AU) have an upper age limit of 45 years as of the examination date, with the same academic performance requirement.
