Assam PG Medical Admission 2023 3rd Round Choice Filling has been Started on 6th October 2023. Assam PG Medical Admission is managed through the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, for admission to postgraduate medical programs, including Master of Medicine (MD) and Master of Science (MS).

Assam PG Medical Admission Application Form 2023

in July 2023, the Assam PG Medical Admission Application Form has been available on the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam. Only qualified candidates in the NEET PG Examination will be eligible to fill out the application form through the following steps mentioned below.

• By visiting the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, applicants have to register themselves.
• Then, fill out the application form with all the required details such as NEET PG details, personal, qualification, contact, and other asked details.
• An application form will be submitted through offline mode, and the applicants have to pay application fees of Rs. 100 through demand draft due to submitting the application form.

Assam PG Medical Admission Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must check their eligibility criteria before filling out the application form, and the eligibility criteria details are

• The candidate’s resident of Assam State will be Eligible to Apply.
• They should be passed in MBBS provisional or pass certificate from a college/institute affiliated with the Medical Council of India.
• The applicants should be qualified in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance for Post Graduate (NEET-PG) organized through the National Board of Examinations (NBE) as per cut-off marks.
• Candidates should have done a rotatory internship of 12 months on or before March 31, 2023, and can apply for Assam PG medical admission.

Assam PG Medical Admission Merit List 2023

On 3rd April 2023, the Assam PG Medical Admission Merit List will be published on the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam. Candidates will be selected on the merit list if they are qualified in the NEET-PG examination. Only the candidates selected in the merit list will be called out for counselling sessions. The merit list will have details such as the name of the candidate, category, score (out of 1200), NEET PG rank, state merit rank, and MBBS completion state.

Assam PG Medical Admission Criteria

On the basis of NEET PG, applicants will be able to get admission to Assam PG Medical Courses.

• There are 50% of state quota seats will be done by DME, Assam, based on state merit rank derived through NEET PG 2023 Scores.
• For 50% All India Quota seats, MCC conducts counselling for admission to 50% AIQ seats through NEET PG scores.
• Admission to all MD/MS/PG Diploma seats in private universities will be on the basis of NEET PG scores by the admission regulatory body.

Assam PG Medical Admission Cut Off

To be selected for admission, applicants must have obtained qualified marks in NEET PG as it’s cut-off marks.

Assam PG Medical Admission Counseling 2023

The counselling procedure of Assam PG Medical Admission will be conducted offline through the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam. Those candidates who are shortlisted in the merit list will be called out for counselling sessions. The counselling procedure will be conducted in three rounds, including mop-up rounds.

In April, two rounds of counselling will be conducted, and they should have to fill in their preferences of colleges and specialities in which they wish to get admission. The admission will be granted to the candidates on the basis of preferences, state merit rank, and seat availability.

After seat allotment, applicants have to report at the allotted college to complete their admission procedure. The applicants have to pay Assam PG medical admission fees of Rs. 30,000 (approx.).
