• Nationality: Indian National candidates are eligible to apply. 
• Age limit: candidates of the General/ OBC category who want to apply age should fall on or after 1st October 1995 and for SC/ ST category is 1st October 1990. 
• Academic qualification: To apply, candidates have to complete the 12th or equivalent exam with English as a compulsory subject at +2 level. 
• Percentage: Candidates must pass by securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (for SC/ ST candidates- 45% marks) in the 12th or equivalent exam.
• Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in the twelfth class this year are eligible to apply but at the time of the entrance test and interview, candidates require to the production of a mark sheet with the requisite percentage of marks in the 12th class.
• Others: Appliers with foreign diplomas obtain equivalence certificate evaluation division of the AIU can apply. In Class X or XII (at any level of the studies) applier have to pass the subjects from the same Board.
