CEED stands for [Common Entrance Examination for Design]; the online application form has three steps: Step 1 Registration, Step 2 Fill with your details, and Step 3 Fees/payment info.

Filling online Application Form, carry this document, Your photograph in jpg format, your signature in jpg format, and your degree certificate or certificate from the Principal/Head of the department in pdf format.

Cast certificate in pdf format (for SC/ST/OBC category candidates only), Medical certificate in pdf format (for applicants claiming PWD status), Experience certificate in case of candidates with G.D. Arts qualification.

Eligibility Criteria 2024

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design or equivalent (4 years program after 10+2).
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or the equivalent of 4 years program after 10+2).
  • F.A. (4-year professional program after 10+2).
  • G.D. Art (5-year program after 10th)
  • Master’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications (2-year programme after 10+2+3).

NOTE: An applicant with three years of Bachelor’s degree is not eligible. The applicant is responsible for proving eligibility while applying for CEED.

The eligibility criteria of the exam are to be fulfilled by all the candidates. The conditions of CEED Eligibility for the exam are as below:

Education Qualification – The main focus is on the educational background. Only the candidates with the following educational qualification can apply for CEED 2024.

  • The candidates must have a qualified Degree/Diploma/PostGraduate course from a recognized institute. The candidate in the final year may also apply, provided they will be appearing for the final examination in July 2023.
  • Candidates with a GD Arts degree (10+5) are also eligible, but their course must have been finished until July 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Here, students can get all the information on the eligibility criteria required for the CEED exam.

  • Attempts Limit: There is no limit to attempting the CEED Exam.
  • Age Limit: No upper and lower age limit is there to appear in the exam.
  • Qualifying Exam:  Students should hold a bachelor/diploma/postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University/institution.
  • Appearing Candidates:  Final year/semester students of the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Eligibility Criteria

It is open only to graduates in Engineering and Architecture. An applicant for full-time M. Des. with an Institute fellowship or self-finance must have a valid CEED score. The GATE score is not considered. Candidates for the M.Des. Industrial Design Programme at IIT Delhi must have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General Category and OBC Non-Creamy Layer.

For the SC/ST Category, this is relaxed by 5%. Applicant should confirm their eligibility and CEED score requirements from the prospectus available at the IIT Delhi website. Full-time sponsored applicants are also advised to clear CEED, an aptitude test. There is also a reservation of seats for OBC Applicant.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati 2024

Eligibility for Regular M.Des. Applicants

4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a Design related field OR 4-year Professional Diploma in Design of NID or Professional Diploma of CEPT (5-year program). A minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree/diploma.

Note: All applicants (except those having B.Tech/B.Des degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0) must possess a valid score of CEED.

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad Eligibility Criteria 2024

For M.Des.: The applicants should have a valid CEED score and a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination, which are,

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design or equivalent (4 years after 10+2).
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years after 10+2).
  • F.A. (4-year professional program, after 10+2).
  • D. Art (5-year program after 10th) with one-year post-qualification professional experience.
  • Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications (2-year programme after10+2+3).

For PhD: M.Des./M.Arch./M.Tech./M.Phil./MFA/M.A/M.Sc/Postgraduate Diploma in Design of NID, Ahmedabad OR equivalent.

For general category students and for students where no concession in academic performance is called for, eligibility requires meeting any one of the following criteria as regards performance in the qualifying degree: –

  • A minimum of 55 cent marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in the final academic year of the program.
  • A minimum of 55 cent marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate or as specified by the university (any of them).
  • First-class as specified by the University.
  • A minimum CPI of 5.5 (5.0 CPI for SC/ST) on a scale of 10, with corresponding proportional requirements when the scales are other than 10 – for example, on a scale of 8, the minimum will be 4.4.

All applicants are required to upload one zip file containing the following:

  • Ph.D. proposal.
  • Portfolio of work and publications.

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design or Architecture and a valid CEED/GATE Score can apply for the two-year Master of Design Programme. Candidates holding degrees in Fine Arts or Interior Design are NOT eligible to apply.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for M.Des. Program

The candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination (as listed below).

Industrial Design

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design, or equivalent.
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent)

Mobility and Vehicle design

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design, or equivalent.
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent).
  • BF (4-year professional program in Fine Art/Commercial art after 10+2).

How to Apply for CEED 2024

The following are the steps involved in the application process of CEED 2024:

  • Visit the official link (link will be given above).
  • Firstly, candidates have to register themselves.
  • Once the registration process is completed, log in to your account by entering an email ID and password.
  • Now, fill in all the personal & educational details required in the application form.
  • After that, pay the prescribed application fee.
  • Upload the scanned images of the photograph, signature, category certificate, and degree/diploma certificate.
  • Submit the application form and print the “Confirmation page”.
